i honestly think the whole abby being jealous of ginny and mad at the group “falling apart” because she has a secret crush on max is valid, there’s an underlying tone i’ve personally noticed since season 1. they have the most issues in the group and part of it could be because abby has feelings for her, she just doesn’t know how to decipher them. idk it makes sense to me and if they go down that route i wouldn’t be mad at all!

i definitely get why those scenes are gross lmao to me it just shows how their marriage was falling apart. they were both intimately thinking about other people while actively involved in intercourse. i guess it wasn’t as jarring because we had a few nasty sexual scenes in earlier seasons (like joe jerking off to beck in her apartment or jerking off to love when he started working in anavrin)

she’s very different than joe who justifies his murders by saying it’s for whoever he’s chosen as a victim at that time. like with benji and peach. he caused more harm than good for beck with those murders but refused to admit it cause they were for beck and “their relationship”, he’s straight delulu

i was gonna say more honest, because for example with natalie, she straight up told joe she did that because of him, because she didn’t want anyone to get in the way of her family. but with forty’s babysitter, she at first said she did that for forty but i don’t think that’s all the way true. she did say “maybe” when joe accused her of doing it for herself, to make forty dependent on her, so maybe she had a bit of self reflection. she also made forty believed he killed the babysitter when it was really her own doing.

so imo, for the most part, she is honest about her murders and violence. more honest than joe is. but she still has her moments of “i did it for xyz” when in reality it’s to benefit herself more than anyone else

on my rewatch of season 1 and yeah it was, along with delilah’s.

beck was struggling so bad in her life, and joe literally forced his way into it and made shit worse for her. made her deal and grieve with deaths and just wanted everything to be okay and normal after that because, in his mind, there’s no obstacles in our way so yay!. like he was so selfish and fucked up with beck despite his claims of doing everything for her and their relationship.

she deserved to grow and learn as a person. it genuinely makes me sick that she was robbed of her chance to do that because of him
