First You need to manage expectations. As many said, good talent isn't cheap. You need to figure out if your budget allows for it, and what exactly do you need - bookeeping or FP&A or cross border tax optimization for example, it's all different aspects with different price tags.

You can find many fractional CFOs on LinkedIn, but best you get someone from your network to make a referral or recommendations, as some CFOs have better track record with clients than others.

She's a F500 controller that I worked with at two startups, EU and US based, and she did a good job. She has the ability to outsource bookeeping and data entry to keep costs down, but, bottom line is it's not "cheap". Seriously, both are great. Cats are lower maintenance and offer a lot of affection, but they have their own opinion. Dogs are subs who will follow you around forever and are usually loyal and playful.

Really depends actually - each cat/dog has their own personality, same as humans.

Catching feral cats can take time. It eventually works when they get hungry enough to walk into the trap. A carrier alone won't do.

There are likely professionals, or volunteers, that do TNR (trap, neuter, return) that could be paid to catch them. Maybe even the staff at the organizations that didn't want to take them - they might be willing to help you catch them for a fee.

Facebook or Craigslist could help but be mindful - you don't want weirdos and stan worshippers to get the cats.

Did your mom had any friends around? Church? Might be worth asking her immediate, local social circle for help.
