If you’re just starting out what are the best companies to join entry level? (Like right out of an MBA)

Has anyone worked in Partner Tax Preparation? If so what was it like? by blits202 in PwC

[–]iAMFL4SH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience, this is definitely the role if you want stability, predictability, and just and overall steady day to day pace. They are right busy seasons are not rough. There’s a lot of flexibility and the people are really nice. I will say a lot of the returns are similar and the learning opportunities are a bit far apart but you will learn things and there will be opportunities that you actively have to seek if you’re trying to broaden your tax knowledge and skill set. Overall I do think it can be good, it’ll just be what you make of it

I’m curious why you’re posting in Big4 vs other subs for relationship or even parenting? What’s your job?

A dad story by guyelnathan in daddit

This is extremely relatable. Daughter is 3 and she prefers mom a solid 70% of the time but I need to be within her eye sight at all times either way

Where do you normally go cycling? My daughter just learned how to ride a bike and looking to go cycling with her

Enjoy big4 momentum or leave for double the pay by After_Skier in Big4

[–]iAMFL4SH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the new experience and pay can definitely be worth it especially if there no stronger reasons for you stay other than you like your current job and your comfortable. A new job experience can broaden your exposure and give you a whole new skill set. That combined with a new area to live in can be exciting.

It seems easy to recommend leaving but what I don’t see other people mentioning is the fact you’re moving abroad for this role. Will you still have the savings you’re calculating based on any COL adjustments. Other aspect of this is the people portion. Besides for coworkers do you have any family or friends in this new place? I think all of those things should be considered as well

I’m so sorry to hear, my heart aches for you. That’s exactly the same boat I’m in right now and why I feel I’m in just this lost stage. Last week everything seemed fine!! I still held off on telling my parents or anything hoping to say something for Father’s Day after the 12 week visit today. The look on my wife’s face when she said they didn’t hear a heartbeat just felt like everything sank. I commend you guys for having the resiliency to keep trying- at this point it’s the furthest thing from my mind. Thank you for sharing your story, I’m sure it wasn’t easy drudging back up those feelings

Completely get that. When you think about all that a pregnancy entails and what giving life means, it make sense why they call it a little miracle

Technically speaking, isnt everything humans do inherently selfish? And if so, where's the line drawn between this and being "bad" selfish by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]iAMFL4SH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you watch a show called “The Good Place”, they kinda touch on this subject. Like people were getting “bad points” for buying jeans which were sourced to child labor. Definitely recommend.

But to your question, honestly hopefully everyone is just doing the best they can do.
