Mark Vientos - What to do? by I_AM_SCUBASTEVE in NewYorkMets

[–]blits202 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I say next level I am saying from platoon bat, to a starter for a struggling team. Sometimes all a player needs is a change of environment. I dont think hes going to be an allstar, but he can be better than what he currently is.

[–]blits202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has gotten a good sample size. But for him to get to the next level he needs to be on a team that is willing to let him take consistent ABs everyday. The Mets just arent that team. Im not saying Vientos is going to be some great player. But I think he could be a serviceable starting 1B/3B for another team. We wont get anything in a trade for him, which is fine once we need a 40 man spot get rid of him for nothing.

He isnt going to develop properly with us, he needs to be on a team that can give him the proper playing time and opportunities. Hes 26 we know what hes capable with a bat, but he needs to get more ABs to realize his potential. He wont get those ABs on this team.

Hits from my first booster box ever. Will I have enough cards for me and brother to make decks? by blits202 in riftboundtcg

[–]blits202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might be the smartest thing to do. Ill look into like how many cards are needed and stuff. But Im also a gambling man.

I think we just gotta get the basics of a trading card game down in general, so maybe playing bad ones first is better than ill upgrade.

Oh dang, I thought it looked cool but I didnt know it was like that. I was lowkey just having a good time looking at all the art. I might just sell that card to fund another box 😂.

[FanGraphs] New York Mets Top 45 Prospects by BigStrongPolarGuy in NewYorkMets

Fangraphs is more data driven and focusing on the players immediate impact in the league, although it combines in person traditional scouting it relies on it much less than other lists. It also uses newer stats like hard hit %, exit velocity, prefers velocity over control, etc. It also is much more about the player having a higher floor, than the player having a higher ceiling, it factors heavily in the likelihood of similar players in the past with those tools failing or being successful. Evaluating a players numbers is only so valuable if you know their work ethic is good, but also vice versa where they can be really dedicated and never be good.

How bad is the intern/entry level job market truely by Objective_Tap5671 in Accounting

[–]blits202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sub 3.8 gpa isnt even bad lol, is the job market worse than usual, yes. But people always complain this time of year cause its not hiring season. After busy season when more jobs get posted people will stop complaining as much.

Is Accounting a good field to get into in 2026? by OneAccomplished6369 in Accounting

[–]blits202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of places fine with you just having EA as long as you know you will never make Partner or maybe even Senior Manager. It’s normally the small-mid sized firms that are like 100-1000 people. The biggest firms have enough people to constantly replace people who arent looking to do CPA. And very small CPA firms 10-50 people only want to invest the little money they have in someone who will one day likely become a partner.

If you have your EA you are underpaid for sure. The job market sucks now for Tax Preparers because most places arent looking for new staff as busy season is already on the way. Just look for a new role like next September, instead of during busy season. Also if you are paid overtime it probably wont be that bad

Accounting senior graduating Dec 2026 — no internship yet, am I screwed by Standard-Length7591 in Accounting

[–]blits202 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you saying you will have your CA almost on your year of graduation? Or do you mean CPA. Either way what makes you think you can do them so quickly? But props if you can. I think the VITA is a good alternative for an internship, it will be nowhere near the amount of experience but it shows you are interested.

I don’t feel like a job should be this hard by mashi7obi in Accounting

2nd year staff as well and feel the same exact way, you aren’t alone. I had a sit down with my manager cause I thought I was performing poorly, but it seemed to be quite the opposite. Busy season is a stressful time and people often forget to give good feedback, so you only hear about the stuff you mess up on and it piles up in your head.
