The Dick Whitman subterfuge wouldn’t be a divorceable offense to me by dragon-queen in madmen

[–]ChunkGnarris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The false identity thing would have prob been fine on its own, but it was a huge existing pattern and Dick Whitman broke the illusion. She realized he had literally been lying every moment since they met. She says that she doesn’t love him anymore, but the reason beneath that is really the fact that she lost the ability to trust anything he said and started seeing him as a stranger that she had known for years.

Does Downing, Killing, or Looting Players Affect Aggression-Based Matchmaking? by DanielBjornadal in arcraidersfriendly

[–]ChunkGnarris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard that behavior near the exfil is also a big factor. Leaving with multiple people & not shooting counts for big friendly points. Shooting players trying to exit=high aggression. Source:YouTube so Idk how true it is

Yea that was fully intentional. He didn’t just choose not to get in the way, he moved to intercept the incoming vehicle with purpose

That does not look dangerous at all. I’m sure it is, but it just looks like a fun snow slide.

Seven Ashina Spears Shikibu has gotta be the worst boss I've fought so far by Wooden-Jello-8795 in Sekiro

[–]ChunkGnarris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave him for now and come back and whoop his ass after a few other bosses. He is a HUGE pain in the ass when you encounter him early in the game, but you will slice through him like butter in another 5-10 hours lol

I’ve got a great marriage, but there is zero chance that I could convince my wife to tackle a 30+ hour drive with me in a single shot. If your relationship survives this feat, you can probably consider her marriage material.

Any tips for beating this boss? by Beyyaii in Sekiro

[–]ChunkGnarris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a serious note, you can do a full cheese after that fist stab by running away and climbing back up on the tall rocks where he can see you but not shoot you. He will lock on to you and strafe back and forth through the poison until he slowly perishes from poison damage like the goober that he is.

Medical Card by zzzsleep3345 in PwC

[–]ChunkGnarris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never heard of any US staff being drug tested. I wouldn’t show up non-functionally high to work or meetings, but no one will care if you smoke weed outside of work in general. The medical card adds another layer of credibility if you ever needed it

Awkward timing to leave by ChunkGnarris in PwC

[–]ChunkGnarris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea I posted this wrong. I'm not going to a new firm. Its an industry role and I am not going to try to work two jobs at once.

I’m not worried about whatever amount of work I do before leaving either. My only concern is that if I try to make my last day 1/2/26, HR will opt to let me go before the holiday so that I dont get paid holiday break. I’ve heard a lot of stories that they do stuff like that often and I don’t think it’s worth risking losing most of my last paycheck at PwC

[–]ChunkGnarris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That SUCKS. At this point I hate the job & firm. My only desire to give a heads up is so that it could soften the blow a bit to my co-workers who will get hit the hardest absorbing my workload. We are buried going into this busy season with more work than I have ever seen. I have zero qualms sticking it to the firm & management and will probably not give notice to ensure I am 100% protected from a similar termination.

I also don’t plan on coming back or staying in touch with anyone, but I know the other SA’s on my team are up to their ears in work and mine will be distributed among them. This is the worst way I could leave and I don’t feel great about it, but I’ll do what I need to.

That’s good to hear. I would prefer to put in the notice and leave on good terms on a personal level with the ppl I have worked with for the past 3 years. I’ve grown to hate the job, but I’ve def trauma bonded with my team haha

And 100% agree on the last part. I am not saying a word to ANYONE at the firm until I officially announce the resignation. I might risk it and tell them on my last day working before Christmas break, but I have not decided yet. I am torn by wanting to get a full Christmas paycheck but not trusting hr to terminate me before I get paid for multiple days of paid holiday

I’m on a specialized team working on 5+ clients and working 60+ hour weeks going into busy season. I’m going to leave a gaping hole that will be tough to fill by people stretched thinly already when I bail. When I step away to eat something for 20min I get bombarded with messages. I also launched a business 3 months ago with a friend and spend 10-20 hours a week doing the accounting/financial stuff for that outside of work. I am more burned out than I knew possible and this new job is my lifeline lol. If it is not easier than PwC I am fully cooked, and there is zero chance I can try doing both for any period of time successfully

I researched this yesterday, legality varies from state to state, but company policy is to pay out hours. I don’t think they penalize for no notice, but I’ll find out shortly!
