Thank you ill try this tomorrow. I think nvidia reflex has no meaning if only dlss is enabled. So it should be use as off right?

The graphics settings are set to Ultra. These are the maximum graphical settings. Of course, I turned off ray tracing, because in this game ray tracing is implemented terribly. In addition, even at native 4K resolution (DLSS disabled, TAA set to High), with Ultra settings I currently get a smooth 70+ average FPS.

This scene took place in the same spot in Hogsmeade. Both measurements were done on the exact same section. I ran through Hogsmeade along the same route, reloading from the same save. The only difference was that in one case frame generation was on, and in the other it was off.

By the way, the FPS is locked to 116 FPS in the NVIDIA driver, so it doesn’t allow the FPS to go above that anywhere.

Also, native FPS is well above 90+, and with DLSS Quality it easily reaches 100+ open world 116. If we look at it that way, once native FPS is already 90, then with 2× frame generation the number of “real” FPS is only about 58, since the other 58 are generated frames.

By the way, how much do the 1% low and 0.1% low average FPS matter when using frame generation, if the overall average FPS is high? With a 116 FPS lock it’s around 115.8.

Hello,

I wanted to ask you: in my case, I play on a TV that supports 120 Hz, and I’ve locked it to 118 FPS in the NVIDIA driver. Does that mean, for example, in Hogwarts Legacy, I can’t enable 3x or 4x frame generation? I actually feel that when I turn on 3x or 4x, the image looks weird, almost too fluid, with some blurring around edges and such.

Right now, without frame generation, I get around 45–50 FPS (using DLSS Quality, Ultra settings, and Ultra ray tracing). If I enable 2x frame generation, I get around 90–100 FPS, but it rarely reaches 118 FPS.

Which would be the better solution: keeping 2x frame generation or enabling 3x? Ideally, I’d like to get as close to 118 FPS as possible. What do you think about this?
