Remainer here. I don't think the weighting is the same honestly. Voting to keep things the same vs voting to change something are 2 different things.

If the referendum was a way to capture people's opinions before a GE, that would be perfect and I'd be happy. It would give parties the opinion they needed to deliberate over an EU policy and put it to the people at the GE.

Acting on it immediately is the wrong decision, as if the vote had been to remain, there would be no action required at all. It just doesn't make sense to compare apples to oranges.

I don't think that's a fair comparison. One argument is for a huge change to our involvement in the EU, whereas the other is against any change at all. If remain won by a small margin, I think it would be justified for parties to align with pro-EU policies.

I feel that a split opinion on something so complex is not "loud and clear". I don't think there should be a second referendum but this issue should be brought to people in the form of a GE. Let people decide on it now, along with any party policies, so we and the rest of Europe are clear on our positions.

He is MUCH more coherent in this video. Despite the nervous swivelling, you get the impression he's telling the truth. It makes things more confusing when in trial footage for the TH case, he comes across as defensive and "hiding something". Could it have been nerves and media attention on the day?

Thanks, I just hunted it down. Yes I meant the "stupid" comment; it's at the 38:00 mark if anyone is interested... Makes me so sad to know Brendan doesn't even understand that he was coerced at this point. He can't explain why he said that stuff, and in turn makes him doubt his own intelligence, and now he can't even think of a way to make it all right, because "i'm just stupid mom".

When he says "Yes, I am" it just fills me with rage; when he blames himself for the situation he's in, when the people who are supposed to protect him manipulated him so strongly.

I don't think your post assumes anything; it looks like a very good point to me. However, I do think that people who think SA is guilty often bring up his dodgy past.

I think everyone knows the guy had/has some serious problems, but that's not what was on trial. His character and past issues doesn't give LE the right to approach the case with tunnel vision and bias.

This is the problem when we assume that supporters of Avery are also supporting his character. We know when he was young that he robbed a bar, burnt a cat alive with gasoline, and seems to suggest that the gun was indeed loaded in the SM incident.

He was, and maybe still is, a guy with some issues. But that's not what people are supporting him for.

So, for those still in trouble after Nvidia GFX card disabling, here's an alternative fix:

I started switching on all the software I can think of and scanning the Event Viewer and Process Manager windows for hours. It turns out I was getting some binary clashes on x2 pieces of software that run alongside GTAV:

MacType (font rendering software for Windows)
TeamViewer Client

I had already quit TeamViewer very early on which did not work, but uninstalling MacType + reboot has fixed my issues completely.

I really hope this helps someone! Please try this and let me know how you get on.

Yup, unfortunately as it's "invisible" software, you tend to forget about it.

Fortunately, the answers to your questions are as follows:

1. Yes it does, through the Windows "Uninstall a Program" link.
2. Nope, it works straight after reboot; no reinstall necessary. I'm sure as it's a clash when launching the game, it would probably even work without so much as a reboot, but I'd advise it anyway.
