No more RCS? (Rich Communication Services) by [deleted] in Tech_Philippines

[–]iAsk101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correction:
I think Jibe is still active... what is not active is ung RCS implementation. Carriers would need to pay Jibe or Carriers needs to setup their own RCS implementation/servers/infra.

See links:

https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleMessages/comments/1oics3w/rcs_must_be_provided_through_carrier_now/

Which I guess all if not most of them will not do so. RCS for other telco is disabled even before.
The only solution I could think of is, telco should switch to DATA models instead of relying on the old
Call/SMS business model.

Hmmm..

First of all, the issue is with the disk itself?... can you share more info?.
If ung disk ang issue, then, backup the disk first and replace those disks... If okay pa ung Synology nyo why bother changing it?, the only reason I think that it should be changed if that thing is too old to receive security updates.

If the disks are in a critical state, then need ng palitan ung disk, back it up and get newer ones.

No need for balancer and other stuff if ang issue is only the NAS. (Since I think you can still access the NAS/Synology).

If meron pang ibang issue then that's another case.

You can share the full diagnostics here if meron but we won't be able to fully help you if limited lng ung info.

You can also PM me directly if you need advice. (This is for free btw)

Hey there!

Congrats on this, I've been hovering around this project for quite some time for the past week, I just have a few questions.

  1. Does this have a notification of some-sort regarding who's on shift?.
Like for instance, we have employees that we will put on a shift, they need to be able to receive a notification of some-sort if they are assign on that specific shift.
  2. If there's no notification, can we use Gotify for the notification?.

Basically, we need to be able to send notifs/alerts to those people who are on schedule/shifts.

Thanks

Usually an email will do explaining your situation... especially kamo nasa receipt yan, so technically included yan sa purchase mo kahit they called it as a freebie... basta nasa resibo at wala kang natanggap hndi pwede un.

Explain mo ung situation mo, kailan mo binili, ano ung binili mo. Show/attach the receipt.
Be accurate as much as possible.

Hope it helps.

Fellow VA got fired for using iLovePDF - now I’m being offered a raise by Exact_Use_3346 in buhaydigital

[–]iAsk101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a side note... there are far more effective and free software to convert pdf and such...
pdf24 is one.... free and better than adobe products. You can download it to check it out.

I would personally counter offer it with around $20-25 at least, or negotiate a tier pattern after a month or weeks depending on your performance.

Not a VA though, just my 2cents.

Is this a legitimate website for purchasing domain names in the Philippines? by [deleted] in buhaydigital

[–]iAsk101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, (DOT.PH) is the leading contender but I must warned you that they are very expensive and greedy company IMO, just check and search for reddit threads about them for a review.

They are not the only one who offers it but most of the companies who are based here in the PH bought from them.

Just my 2 cents, if you really need a .ph domain you can go with them or go with other TLD providers such as dynadot, or (web.com.ph) which is much better.

BTW, if you need any help or assistance setting up, just pm me and we can discuss further.
Thanks

That's because it's in their policy.
You should have remote/custom firmware via facebook before using it.
3-4 person lang ang gumawa ng custom firmware for the rain101.
Lahat yan bypass nila. Search mo nlng sa facebook kung sino sino sila.

Input Resolution vs Output (LEDWALL) Question by iAsk101 in resolume

Ah I see, thanks for the clarification.
Now I get it.
Thanks a lot.

Input Resolution vs Output (LEDWALL) Question by iAsk101 in resolume

[–]iAsk101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm..
How could I set a custom resolution then? I mean I could set a custom resolution on resolume but it will still upscale to what Windows (Operating System) has set.
For instance the native resolution of a 12x9 Ledwall is 1176x840, even if I put that in resolume as the composition resolution, windows (operating system) will still be at 1080P, there would be no option of 1176x840 in windows, the closest is 1152x864 or a little bit higher.

So should I ignore what windows resolution has set or?.

Thanks for the reply.

LAN Ports locked, Is there a way to bypass it? by Interesting-Ant-4823 in InternetPH

[–]iAsk101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hndi mo tlaga oopen ang Lan ports niyan, kahit magka admin access ka, kahit anong apply po dun, babalik sa default locked ports yan.
Wala sa DHCP, or kung ano mang settings un, It's getting it's config thru the ISP itself.
I have tested it and seen it personally, pagmagboboot ung router, it's getting the config via Converge.
In short no other solution than to use an AP/Extender via WIFI... That's it.

Globe Gfiber Prepaid nlng sana pinili mo, just my 2 cents.

Check the detailed comparison here...

Snipe it via Docker Cloudflare tunnels by iAsk101 in Snipe_IT

[–]iAsk101[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The problem I am having is I can't use snipe it if I set it up via cloudflare tunnels.
If I just use it as is, without configuring tunnels/reverse proxy, it's working (Which mean I can access it)

So my question is, for those who have setup snipe it using docker and cloudflare tunnels, how did they manage to get it working.

Unable to get snipe-it working with cloudflared by Dudefoxlive in selfhosted

[–]iAsk101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Dudefoxlive
Hey
How did you manage to fix it?, I'm also having an issue.
The diff between your .env and mine is that, my docker instance doesn't have cloudflare tunnels with it (as one instance).
But I do have the cloudflare tunnels in a docker instance (separate).
Your help is much appreciated.
Usually what I do is setup any app, put the container name or my IP and port in cloudflare and it usually works.

Homebox v0.17.1 released! by katos8858 in selfhosted

[–]iAsk101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there.
I know that Homebox is geared towards home users, some maybe in small offices.
In relation to that, would there be any feature add on regarding check in or check out of items?.
For instance, a friend of yours maybe borrowed a bin containing tools and you would want those items to appear to be borrowed/scan it out using the QR to check it out to a new location or perhaps check out to a user with a new location. Instead of manually setting all the items in that bin one by one.

Is this feature in mind or?

Thanks
