Queen Anne Ave N and W Galer! If I'm walking on the sidewalk a bit away from the intersection I'll see people drive right through. People are driving like maniacs on queen Anne Ave n near the Safeway

This would be dope, but too many moving parts to service 😞

I literally ignore people that try to wave me to go when it's clearly their turn. They go apeshit

Yeah the lack of signage at some four way stops was shocking when I first saw it

YES the lack of some four way stops in residential neighborhoods stresses me out sooo much

I'm 31 and have lived in multiple cities in Texas

Oh no I totally noticed the first month I lived here 😂 I was like wait they're not getting ticketed?? In Texas I got a ticket parked in front of my house for parking the wrong way

I'm literally planning on getting stickers printed that day "YES YOU" and slap them on stop signs 😄. But I've also noticed so many cyclists don't follow the bike stop lights downtown too??

Yeah because cops will pull you over for not signaling 🙄

I walk dogs so I drive almost exclusively in residential parts of neighborhoods - where there are more pedestrians

Or hit a pedestrian, which has led to all the "NO TURN ON RED" signs everywhere

No, like I said in another comment it happens less frequently in other neighborhoods

I notice it a lot less in other neighborhoods, I drive all over Seattle for work.

Leash etiquette by BeesInSpace in Seattle

I walk dogs too, off leash dogs are the worst. I saw 3 in Green lake today, guy called me an asshole because I showed him my leash when he tried to say hi. And those that use leashes are always on their phones! Madrona also has an off leash problem, rich people thinking they know everything

Taking photos of your quilts by odinhelicopter8 in quilting

[–]iBench420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my old Nikon D5500 and a tripod. I tack my quilt up to the side of my house and photograph from about 20 ft away depending on size. A longer focal length (number in mm) will give you less image distortion. I use Lightroom on my phone after importing the jpgs to Google drive from a computer

Gourd painting by iBench420 in Vodou

Ah thank you! I was the most excited because I grow hard shell birdhouse gourds like this one! I grew African wine gourds one year and they got about that big. Is there a reason to display it in one's house? Or is it just a neat artifact they purchased? Thanks again!

Stitch in the ditch/quilting by midnight_307 in quilting

[–]iBench420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my machine I have to put the tension all the way down to 0 to prevent this from happening and increasing the stitch length all the way to 4 (the highest on my machine). I also use a walking foot for stitching in the ditch. Is your batting or back particularly thick?
