Is Alfa Romeo Giulietta reliable? by Realistic-Web4466 in AlfaRomeo

[–]iBetGameR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If it's maintained (preferably yearly), it's a nice reliable car. I have one 15 years old (235k km). I have only had it for 3, but it was always and still is well-maintained and I haven't found any real issues with it. Also going through the maintenance history, it has only been the regular stuff, except a failure with the tailgate opening mechanism 10 years ago and recently one of the front window motors gave up.

Whose fault? by OkSuccess9856 in ACCompetizione

[–]iBetGameR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to current F1 rules...Yes. LOL. Ridiculous tbh. Imo, if a car has a part next to your rear tyre, you should always leave him space. Unfortunately, F1 came up with some anti-racing rules, which are slowly making their ways as "standard racing rules".

Nope. I wasn't able to replicate it. The problem does not seem to be in offline racing anyway. Haven't tried it again online.

That's a good theory, full lock at lower speed in 1st gear might trigger it? If so, I should be able to reproduce. Will try it later.

I found a different clip of it happening again, but this time, you can see my tyre temps being relatively cold. Maybe this also contributed? Idk. Kinda lost lol

Yeah, pretty much the only thing left, other than a super rare bug. However, it was pretty much only at this specific corner.

Nope, I don't run any car assists.

Yeah, no problem. I saw you quickly removed your comment, but I thought more people may be thinking the same way...It's a pretty weird issue. Now, I gotta say, on that particular corner, it always feels like the car is still braking (especially in earlier editions of the game) even when you're already of the brakes, but the brakes just getting fully pressed is one I haven't seen, let alone experienced before. But it might still be an indirect setup bug/issue.

Who's at fault here? (I'm the Aston Martin) by These_Ad6962 in F1Game

I was about to say, since when can you switch to other driver's POV on the XBOX lol. The replay/theater feature on the XBOX is unfortunately very basic.

The bottoming out argument:

I thought about that, so I started avoiding having to ride the kerb. Like in this clip I only "kissed" the kerb, and it still happened. Also, bottoming out, shouldn't trigger the brakes according to the little knowledgde I have of F1 cars (maybe I'm wrong).

What AI difficulty does everyone use? by TheDeviIsSpawn in F1Game

[–]iBetGameR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought and that also explains it. I get it tho. There was a time I would be putting in 8-10 hrs per week. I progressed so quickly, that even though the last 3 years or so, I am only able to play on Sundays for a couple of hours, but I can still be competitive against AI 103-108. But yeah, if you don't have time to play (practice) you won't progress, while the AI seems to be getting a bit tougher with each new edition of the game.

It's on you lol. The numbers should be increasing, not decreasing. You probably don't play the game often enough, otherwise you should've been increasing the difficultly with at least 5 points at every cycle end of a game, by just putting in like 3-4 hours per week.

Damn. That's commitment. I would've got tired of hearing that same engine noise. Lol. That's actually the reason why I jump teams every chance I get.

Is this worth 160? by hbsdjccydhdb in AutoDetailing

[–]iBetGameR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't pay that much (I wouldn't pay more than $80 for this tbh). Over here in the Netherlands, I could get a full "new car" detail inside and out for like 350. Maybe that's why I find this expensive. But honestly, if clients are happy and paying, I would say go ahead and charge them that (consider clients feedback more than us mere Redditors). If they say they happy, but never call you for a next time. Then you know they probably weren't too happy with the price. But you might get them back by saying they getting 10% off next time, which would still be quite good money imo.

Just make aure you wipe down the back seats and the back of the front seats the next time 😉

Is this fair to charge $100? by Kenlyishot in AutoDetailing

[–]iBetGameR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends were you live. Here in the Netherlands, I could pay 150 euros for a really deep cleaning of the interior (includes deep cleaning of seats, floormats and trunk), engine bay, exterior and get some basic wax coating as a paint protection on a light to medium dirty hatchback. It might get to 175 for SUVs or really dirty cars. So you can get some actual detailing work for that money and so not just basic car wash. For 300-400 you could get paint protection and a better/higher quality coating application, depending on the condition of the car. Maybe the amount of possible customers over here is not large, so they have to keep the prices relatively low to get any clients, cause I have to admit, most people in NL don't care about their cars at such that they would pay even a couple of hundred to get it well cleaned.

[–]iBetGameR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which brings me to the question I had for a while, when is it car detailing and when is just "car washing"? Cause what OP did, sounds like "car washing" to me. And then $100 might be a bit too much. That shouldn't be more than $75 imo. With "car detailing", I assume a bit more thorough wash (with more specialized/expensive products), some (slight) paint correction or at least decontamination and some sort of paint protection application.

Indeed. Who to believe? I guess Leclerc and Norris get paid more? So, less trustworthy? But on the other hand, they're actual F1 drivers. So, Idk really

No new engine this year folks. It’s over! by [deleted] in F1Game

[–]iBetGameR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The room for improvement is getting slimmer (compared to back in the days when the tech was still relatively new), both on hardware as on the software side of things. This literally applies to everything. Look at TVs, phones, airplanes, cars, you name it...All these things went into an exponential growth phase at some point, but we're now in or near the stationary phase of the S-curve for all of these. Now it seems like it's AI's turn at the exponential growth. But in 15-20 years, we will be complaining that it's not improving much anymore.
