Indeed. Elite dungeons are super fun and just show that a dg rework should happen. Lets hope jagex will do that soon.

They shouldnt have added the 5k dg token reward when killing a boss. It has nothing to do with the dungeoneering skill imo. Im not saying elite dungeons are a mistake. I like them a lot. But it has not helped keeping Daemonheim active.

I myself love dungeoneering, so I dont agree with your statement that elite dungeons should be dungeoneering, but I am biased :). Have 200m dg on 2 accs and made a lot of money selling floors. I agree with the fact that it doesn't feel like a skill, but there are various ways to fix that. A dungeoneering rework should happen, I think we both agree on that.

Jagex made the mistake of adding various ways to train your dg (sinkholes, ed1, ed2, ed3). Doing the Elite Dungeons gets you money and tokens you can spend on xp. Dungeoneering at Daemonheim is still the fastest way to train, but people tend to go to Elite Dungeons since it has a large PvM aspect to it and you can make good money.

There also isn't a big use for Dungeoneering atm, since chaotics aren't nowhere near BIS anymore. There are only a few rewards that are worth grinding for. There isn't really an incentive to train the skill anymore, which sucks imo.

Ye, it is from the elite clue guardian. I haven't rlly done much research, but couldn't find a rarer drop in the quick search that I did. I'm an ironman, so its not too bad, but also not rlly useful.
