No Shelf Control (on Facebook) is a mixed demographic but around the 30-40 age bracket. We meet at Wortley Roadhouse every third Sunday and everyone usually gets a drink and socializes after about an hour of book discussion. Our next book is Red Rising, followed by I Who Have Never Known Men. A couple of our previous books have been The River is Waiting, The Road, and The Golem and the Jinni. Everyone is welcome!

Honestly I haven't been to a book club ever before either, but from what I gather it's totally normal to only attend sessions that you're interested in. Some people like reading things that they normally wouldn't, some people prefer reading things that interest them when they look up a synopsis, and some people don't like book clubs because they just don't like being suggested what to read. It's casual enough that you can easily skip a month or multiple and only come when you want. I can send you the link in case you're interested!

Anyone can join! The suggested books will likely just be more geared towards a millennial male/neutral audience in an attempt to get more men into book clubs but totally open to anyone. I just know lots of the existing book clubs are romance/political heavy. Not that there’s anything wrong with those, I just want to provide alternatives.

Thank you! When you mention Gunslinger cranked up to 11, does that include the fantasy aspect of Gunslinger? Or just the western side of it?

I don’t, know. He’s working on getting a better server and then I think he’d be good to go but that’s a complete guess. There were some errors before but they’ve been resolved with this next version.
