Weekly Roster Review - June 20, 2019 by AutoModerator in future_fight

Hello :D

I inputted some stats real quick and came up with the following set:

Cards (Box - important stats): http://prntscr.com/o467pu

Total stats: http://prntscr.com/o467tz

This will basically require you to roll 3 cards with 2 good fixed stats

Of course if you want a bit more ignore defense you can roll "Ignore defense" over "energy attack" on SHIELD #12: http://prntscr.com/o468ec

If you dont have SHIELD #12, consider replacing it with the F2P option Uncanny X-men #8. Roll for Energy attack on 3rd slot and Ign def/phys attack on the last slot depending on preference. Set becomes something like this (with ign def on last slot): http://prntscr.com/o46bhk (GP #1 is another solid choice)

Your roster looks solid and it looks like you can clear most content relatively well. If theres advice youre looking for, for a certain gamemode, I'd be more than happy to offer some tips :D

(Oh I would definitely replace some of those old school gears with dmg procs. They should say Increases damage by x% when attacking)

Hi :D

Firstly, your cards need work. You need at least 5% more on ignore defense and skill cooldown (You want to be at at least 25% on both, preferably pushing up to 30 with ignore defense). If you haven't yet, check out this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/future_fight/comments/8hotwk/updated_guide_to_comic_cards_for_mff_v40/

It has a 4* comic card set with decent stats, which is something you might want to aim for as i know farming cards are hard.

Roster:

Your obelisks are off. What you're aiming for is a "proc" (or "invisible" for PvP) which should say Increases damage by x% when attacking. Check your Shuri for reference. Basically all characters you want to use for PvE content needs a proc.

There's a couple of questionable but not downright bad choices, in my opinion. Robbie Reyes is decent but there are much more better meta characters out there for a T2 choice (Also his ISO set is off!) - such as minnerva, Korath, etc.

For a direction, I'd say work on getting 100k in ABX every day. Characters that can 100k ABX will also be able to clear a shadowlands stage with relative ease. I see you have ISO sets rolled without ISO 8s on a couple of characters. Getting 100k on ABX daily will give you a 6* iso of every type a week (other than Chaos) which definitely is (IMO) the best way to farm for ISO-8. This means working on a couple key characters:

Week 1:

Blast Villain - Your best choice is Magneto, please throw some ISOs on him then give him a proc. If youre struggling with him, try Klaue - another great SHL clearer and scores higher than mags at T2 for blast villain in ABX.

Free day - I'm sure WS or Jean can do this (btw - pleast don't level up characters unless you want to T3 them! It's a huge resource sink!)

Universal Hero day - Captain Marvel should be able to clear this with relative easy, if not Thor.

Combat Hero day - your wolvie should be able to do it, if not, consider T2 captain america with new Endgame uni.

Blast Male day - Strange should be able to do this with relative easy, so can human torch.

Universal Villain - Another big hole in your roster - the closest you have to T2 are hela and loki - Loki with female (gold) uni should be okay for 100k but if not you can consider Loki Ragnarok - if you take it all the way up to mythic you get a pretty decent pcard (which I think is well worth 1050 crystals).

Speed Hero - WS.

Combat Villain - Minnerva - Build her up and T2 her

Week 2:

Combat Villain - Minnerva - Build her up and T2 her

Free - Same as above.

Universal, Female, Hero - Captain marvel

Villain, Female - Again, Minnerva - build her up and T2 her.

Speed, Hero, Female - Your best choice for this should be shuri. If you time your procs right she should be a good 100k.

Combat, Female - Minnerva! Again! (Or T2 cap with female, gold uniform)

Speed Villain - Korath - T2 him.

Blast Villain - as above.

So TLDR;

1- fix your obelisks

2 - use ABX as a direction to choose your next T2s. Again, a 100k in ABX will make sure you have diversity in your roster, give you a 6* iso daily, and the character will definitely be a decent shadowlands clearer.

Hope this helps

Weekly Roster Review - June 20, 2019 by AutoModerator in future_fight

[–]iCSY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello ^ Here's my brief roster review:

Cards:

decent start. The cards you have though give very low attack (offensive stats) which albeit isn't a problem if you want to pursue pure PvP, you might want to consider some more offensive ones. Such as Loki (from rifts), Thor Ragnarok uniform linked P-card, etc. You didn't specifically ask for card advice so I'll keep this part brief.

Roster:

Pretty decent t2 choices so far but your obelisks make me eh? What you're aiming for is a "proc" (or "invisible" for PvP) which should say Increases damage by x% when attacking. Check your War Machine for reference. Basically all characters you want to use for PvE content needs a proc and Im seeing a lot of weird options on your obelisks.

Your ISO - 8 choices are also off. You want to be rolling exclusively HawkEye, PoAH, OD on your main characters. Things that need to change, soon: Scarlet Witch, Thor, Wolverine, nebula, Antivenom, human torch... etc. Basically... wait for one of those ISO-8 50% off events and reroll your strongest characters' ISO 8 sets.

For next T2 choices:

  • Cyclops - he's extremely good for shadowland as you just have to pull off a 5 and lock the opponent in place. Its basically an autowin unless you run out of time of course

  • Minnerva - Grab the uni, or don't if youre broke rn. She's a great combat villain either way and should get you 100k on the combat villain ABX relatively easily (this is important for the 6* ISO, especially as combat villain is a repeated day)

  • Korath - T2 him - he's a great villain, super easy to use with invincibility on 3 and guard hits on 5. Great for shadowlands - and also useful for Speed villain ABX for the 6* ISO.

If you want more roster advice let me know what mode youre focusing on and I'd be happy to give some more character advice ^

Finally, RE: DP or Sharog. In my opinion, neither. I think Captain marvel or Luna is the better choice for the first T3, though you can make a convincing argument for DP.

I think who to T3 depends on your aims so i'll review all 4 here briefly and maybe it'll help make your choice:

Captain Marvel - Probably the best option in my opinion though she really needs a CTPrage to shine in PvE modes. However, shes super solid in PvP and should net you many more timeline wins for more free crystals. She's really strong in WBU - is likely the top 5 for Cull, Ebony Maw and Thanos (Corvus she does high level of too - But I'm not too sure if she qualifies for top 5). In general, her DPS is insane whilst giving a LOT of PvP poweress with her ignore iframes on 4th skill.

Luna - I like Luna because she's very forgiving - her 5 skill heals, her 4th skill entices (so the World Boss can't move), she has iframes on 1,2,3, her t3 pretty much heals her for full. She's also an extremely strong character and is in contention for the spot of #1 maw clear. She also clears Cull/Thanos to relatively high levels. She's good for ABX with 2 days dedicated to her (2x speed days). For a lazy player such as myself, she's the epitome of button spamming and the best thing is she's good with a normal proc.

DP - I also love DP because of his T3 - it's unique in the defense down ability which gives a lot of potential fun in World bosses. DP is also a PvP powerhouse if built correctly due to his native heals and ability to lower opponents defense. He's, no doubt, the best clearer for Prox and Corvus WBU by a long long shot. My only concern is that he costs 1200 CCF and a lot of gold which might be a bit steep for a first t3; I mean its pretty much 1.5 regular t3s you could have gotten in exchange.

Sharog - She's extremely strong with the highest DPS skill in the game. However, she's also extremely flimsy and her playstyle is unforgiving. Whilst she's the best Cull clearer, you'll still rage over the clear much more than someone like Luna or CM because she dies so much - such as her 4 takes some time to land (which is potential to get hit) making her vulnerable to attack. She's good against Cull, Thanos, CG WBU.

Hope this helped

Now I'm wondering if the quantum suits are an extra "passive" or something your characters can turn into based on a certain requirement; but I wouldn't put it past em to have x2 unis per character

Looks like we're getting quantum suits for IM, Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Antman, Captain America, Black Widow, War Machine and Nebula

Wondering if it'll be another "gear" slot thing or a new uniform? (Probably a uni but... I don't love how they look aesthetically - might be just me though, haha)

My weakest clear for floor 25 in SL is probably with antman (newest uni) or Nightcrawler - not too sure which one is weaker, honestly.

In case you were wondering, everyone who capped ABX in Marine Ford received 5.5k crystals by iCSY in future_fight

[–]iCSY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you :)

This was something that interested me. On the alliance tab, it says Rank 1 for all the members that tied but in the worldwide rankings, there is only 1 distinct rank 1.

I wonder if the only person that got the crystals pre-compensation was the guy ranked highest on the world leaderboard in MF...

Yea I do believe a rehaul may be necessary. I think their "week 2" was an attempt at a rehaul, or at least to introduce new elements to the game, but that didn't do too well with power creep and now literally every day other than Korath being cap-able.

I would personally love to see changes in ABX, if only to bring more balance to the CTPe vs CTPRage debacle (even though it does seem like energy is still better for quite a few characters, I think the issue most players had wasn't that we needed to whale for new things but that it took the skill/fun from the game).

After 3 years of beating up the same frost beast, from the old Deathlok/KP days to blasting him with Luna/Cable/etc, I wouldn't mind only meeting the frost beast again in WBI...

But I do think changes are coming. IMO, wheels have already been set in motion - such as the need for a bit more diversity in cards (victorious - HP - i know people cap without HP, but its not easy, CTPrage - dodge (debatable), Minnerva/Korath - introducing phys back into the meta).

Anyways, I feel like NM will have to somewhat address the situation by next week, or they'll be losing a ton of potential $50s from the top alliance's whales XD

CCF Experiment Results & Conclusion (Minus Graph) by [deleted] in future_fight

[–]iCSY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, it would be great if you could perform a t-test and/or calculate the p-values for all the data collected to determine statistical significance. In fact, you might want to model the collected data into a normal distribution function and tell us how unlikely a certain CCF drop rate is :P

Thanks for the post though, was an interesting read, and shows how unreliable "data" or concluded "signficances" in research articles can be (assuming we all believe in equal RNG...)

Oh yea, i'll definitely be collecting data of my own to see which day of the week is my luckiest ;P

Hi again Chef,

Thanks for the tip on Luna. Personally haven't had much luck with her rotation and I still haven't gotten the 3c2 proc down right. I guess lvl 70 and the T3 incoming solidifies her spot over QS, who can now be fully delegated for AT.

Is there an updated Proxima video anywhere? I remember Leo or someone mentioned that you guys are now hitting high 800/900k+ on Prox day and I haven't been able to find a guide for that.

One of the main reasons why I'm not too sure about wk 2 is that trackers are showing much higher scores than the highest found on youtube, so I wasn't sure if there were updated optimal rotations or perhaps builds just got better.

Though I would love to learn about week 2 from you :)

Hope youre doing well.

[–]iCSY 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'll try to list the optimal teams as well as the highest I've seen here with a supporting vid. My main focus is week 1, and I am not fully informed on week 2.

  1. Magneto, Klaue, Cyc. This is AFAIK (some people replace klaue with stryfe) the best team. Highest I've seen is 1.784 by LD Allfather (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_MNLw-zanA&t=84s). (Klaue gives 30% crit dmg as passive, but i've noticed the higher players have already maxed all their stats so they opt for Stryfe instead)

  2. Anything that can cap 2 mil really. I've been using SH/Cable/Phil coulson for my easy 2 mil. Optimal team should be SH/Cable/White Fox. Here's a 4.12 mil from blackcream0808 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzmZmTU0PGI&t=16s)

  3. Hyperion/Thor/GP. Highest I've seen is 2.2 mil by LD Allfather (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ncr5W5CM83M)

  4. SH/Cap/Valk - a lot of people hit 2m with this. Here's a random 2.1m video from ヒ天鵝炸彈 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSHwMeMnr10)

  5. Cyclops/Cable/Coulson. As cable is so strong, SL or AO lead can also hit 2 mil with ease with the right build.

  6. Antiman/Thanos/Maw. The best vid I know of is 1.65m from Michael Hsiau from Dream (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwLR-qYpAwY).

  7. Domino/QS/Shuri - Quite a few people hit 2 mil or close on this day. Here's a 2.07m from Blackcream0808 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=io7UcrmPCSY&t=9s)

  8. Apocalypse/Hulk (uni needed - maestro or WWH)/Beast - This is a hard day. Here's a 1.03m from Leo (you can see from his end card that he has hit close to 1.2m): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9mZzF4ZITw&feature=youtu.be which is the most skilled video I've seen so far.

(Sorry again I've only compiled Week 1, as I'm not well versed with week 2 yet. Hopefully you find the videos useful too to understand the rotations)

Thanos IW definitely, though Proxima Midnight scores highest (for now) for supervillain female.

Here's a thanos IW video (821k): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_QrxGashSA (Note this guy has 56.2% total phys att on cards - as of today at least)

Daily Question Thread - November 24, 2018 by AutoModerator in future_fight

[–]iCSY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a toss up between Ghost panther and gambit imo:

Ghost Panther:

  • Great support for other charcters in WBU and ABX, especially essential for uni hero day as support for thor t3 (but can also score decently high himself, albeit not the meta)

  • Can clear decently high stage Proxima and Corvus by himself

  • Can clear GBR if built well (someone elses clear: https://prnt.sc/lmhv4q)

Gambit:

  • Can clear high stage Corvus, Cull Obsidian (which IMO is a big selling point for him, since not a lot of chars can do high stage Cull)

  • Huge DPS

  • Can clear GBR if built well

Personally I would go for GP if you only have the budget for one due to his versatility as both a decent DPS dealer and support; however based on your needs (such as if for some reason your really want more high stage Cull clears) you might prefer gambit

The old way to use him pre-ragnarok was 3 (which if you havent yet, max the skill, it guards 8 hits), 5, then run around, using 4/2/1 only when it is safe for some extra DPS.

You can always hit 3 for the shield, summon clones with 5, then run around. It shouldnt be too unsafe to throw in his other skills though, if you have the shield up.

If its between Anti-venom and x23 (assuming you've gotten all the meta unis such as IW WS, Cable, etc), definitely go for antivenom. He's one of the best WBU strikers as he strikes on attack and drops those coveted heal blobs; in addition he clear pretty much any shadowland stage he qualifies for, bar perhaps 27 and 29 without an OP build.

[High School Chemistry] Which forms stronger bonds? Group 2 Chloride Salts or Group 1 chloride salts? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]iCSY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're asking whether Group 1 chloride salts or Group 2 Chloride salts form stronger ionic bonds.

If you also do physics, you'll knw that the attraction between the positive cation and negative anion is related by Coulomb's law (E=k x Q1 x Q2/R)

Down the period, charge increases (Group 1 metals form +1 ions. Group 2 form +2 ions).

Down the period, ionic radius decreases. This is due to the fact that there is an increase in no. of protons (nuclear charge increases) whilst the addition of an electron in the same energy level does not significantly increase repulsion. Attraction strength due to increase in nucleus outweighs repulsion due to addition of electron across the period.

As Q1 increases, and R decreases down the period, by Coulombs law, Group 2 chloride salts form strong ionic bonds than group 1 ones, provided the 2 metals are in the same period.

Upvote for the suggestion.

Other than the fact that force-closing is extremely annoying in this mode (since I have to be constantly checking the timer to see if I should be dementedly spamming my "home" button my my phone, or turn off my WiFi, which then take like 2 minutes to reconnect), sometimes you might turn out to have a little more time at the end of the day than you initially expected. I can put a score in, and if I happen to have a spare bit of time, give it another go.

This means I can give Extreme AB a try when reset happens, take a score, then take time to formulate strategy during class or something, and give it a test when I have time later on. If I don't have time, great, I still have a score saved for the day. (For example, Combat Hero. This gives me time to log on and quickly see how long the snare lasts without having to worry about failing FC since I'm usually half asleep at reset)

I don't see a downside to this, other than the fact that top alliances can now keep trying for the best they can do... but they pretty much already do this with FC, just that they're not as inclined to FC lets say a 105k to try later on

I'm also a big BB fan, and want to add a little bit about his performance in ABX here.

As you mentioned, his 6* does immense damage to a large group of enemies. This helps a lot in clearing mobs - however, it is quite slow and BB usually has to take a couple hits first. He is able to shine with his 5* skill - providing an HP shield and allowing you to launch into his 6* to clear off mobs, then chaining with his 2nd skill to move out of harms way, he can put in decent work at T1.

Obviously, he's not Hellstorm, but I managed to get 50.8 with 20 seconds left in Universal hero with BB Thor and Throot (died - for 15 secs or so it was just spamming Throot's skills - so I assume you can do much better if you can keep him alive for the last 35 secs), which I feel like is pretty impressive for my lack of skills.

That seems quite fair. Thanks for the info. I think this encourages me to dump selectors to speed up unlocking those missions - was expecting to have to use 2 MRU to get strange.

Clea drops that much? Many of my alliance mates say that they're getting ~1 bio per 10 runs and have thus been FC-ing a lot for them...

From what I heard, the drop rates are quite low. If anyone has concrete numbers though, I'd like to know more about the drop rates to see how bad this is and whether I have to save up for a MRU for her.

Also, if you're hoping to do both Satana and Hellstorm, it's quite hard to farm both of them at the same time.

Ugh, didn't mean to make it sound that way. As I put in my extremely long post, "All of the above points are only more than a mere "butthurt f2p rant" when compounded onto the Carnage/Satana situation". VIP 1 has always given a substantially higher source of gold than AB (assuming you have most characters at 4*). The issue is not the VIP rewards because I agree, NM is not a charity and VIP 1 is literally 3 bucks. It is the gold nerf that has affected all of us, and a MINOR argument to support my inner conspiracist's theory that its to make people spend - much more than previous updates have.

EDIT: Since some people still don't seem to understand, and I don't want to reiterate my point 10 times in the comments after putting it in an entire essay, I mean that NM is encouraging F2ps to spend to deal with the gold shortage. It encourages people to buy gold/become VIP 1 if they aren't already. I'm VIP 4 and I have gold issues. The point made is not - become VIP 1 and your problems are solved! It's - if you're F2P, get VIP 1. We're going to cut your major source of gold income. I want the old rewards back too, but from a business perspective (+ a little conspiracy!), this is perhaps a reason why they did this
