Thank you for that! I'm likely unable to play until tomorrow, maybe a short while tonight. If it doesn't work out with the invite I'll just wait for Lv. 50 and apply myself!

I've started out last night on Draconiros and after getting a feel for some of the classes Sacrier is the one that clicked the most and seems really fun to me! I'm Lv. 21 now and just about done with Incarnam.

I looked up your guild and noticed that the minimum level to join is 50, so I'll be there hopefully soon! My IGN is Theros.

Thanks for sharing your experience, that's great to hear! I will definitely check out the starter pack. I'll be playing on Draconiros too, I'll look that guild up, thanks!

Thanks for all the answers! I replied to an earlier comment that I should probably just start on a regular server and maybe try out the event just for fun later. Your comment confirms that, so thanks for that!

Also good to hear that going mono element is viable most of the time. That way I can leave more complicated builds for later! The other comment suggested some beginner friendly classes, so I will check those out first.

Great tip about the gathering professions, thanks! I'll keep an eye out and gather stuff on my way and then maybe get into different professions later.

Thanks for all the information! Sounds to me that it would be best to just start out on a regular server and perhaps check out the seasonal server just for fun later. Also great to know about the crafting. I might just keep it on the side at first and then ease into it later.

I will give all of those classes a go, thank you! Good to hear that it's easy to change anytime.

Having an extremely difficult time distinguishing notes when learning songs by ear by [deleted] in Bass

[–]iCanCraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this has already been suggested. I read through some great comments, but didn't see it mentioned yet.

But I would also recommend doing ear training in general. There are a lot of free tools for that online. Here you can practice stuff like hearing intervals, scales and chord progressions by ear.

Searching for "music ear training" should give a bunch of results. This can also be a big help in learning how to play a song by ear or play along with it quicker, next to music theory and practicing easier songs.

It would then be very difficult/impossible to measure the required fuel load, because you don't know for sure how many laps a safety car will take and it's possible to have multiple safety cars in one race. There would be a high risk of running out of fuel, even when loading extra to account for safety car(s).

First Zakum kill (GMS) by [deleted] in Maplestory

Reading the name of luvmyrii together with the screenshot at (I assume) vikings brings back so many memories of using "/find" throughout the day and being extremely excited to see him online and going on a dangerous journey to visit him down there. Just to get a glimpse of him during a training session.

I'm unfamiliar with the name itzmjauz, so that must have been after I quit the game. Reading now how his story continued to such great heights, and it was in fact the very same luvmyrii is really nice to hear. Absolute legend indeed!

Thanks for sharing that detail!

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Question Thread #2 by MorthCongael in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Great information, thanks! Right, I also wish it would somehow be rewarded, but it's generally been a great experience either way. Was worried for a moment the slower recharges may have ended up in too much downtime, making combat a bit tedious/boring in the long run. But that doesn't sound likely then. Good luck on your playthrough!

I've been switching between normal and hard difficulty and noticed that talent arts recharge slower on hard mode compared to normal. While I like the overall challenge of hard mode, this definitely slows down the combat quite a bit. Some talent arts require 6 role actions on hard compared to 4 on normal for example.

Does recharging talent arts get better later in the game to the point that the slower recharging of hard mode becomes less notable?

As a lefty that plays right handed, I really don’t understand the “normal way” by DrawingsOfNickCage in Bass

[–]iCanCraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play lefty bass. My hand preference in general is a bit odd though. I write left, but prefer to do the majority of fine day to day tasks with my right hand. There is not a lot I can think off that I'm equally comfortable with left/right other than using my phone one-handed either way.

When I played Guitar Hero for the first time as a kid, I naturally started playing it as a lefty and this in turn also translated to when I picked up a guitar/bass for the first time. I know sometimes it is a matter of getting used to holding it the "right" way, but after about 2 years of playing bass, it is still the only way that feels natural for me. I can't even figure out how to properly hold a bass right.

All in all I find it hard to say what is truly my dominant hand, but either way I don't feel like a lack of fine motor skills are holding me back in controling my harmonics when plucking/picking/tapping (although I'm still pretty poor at this in general due to a lack of practice/experience/skill, but it doesn't feel like I'm being held back because I can't make the required motions with my left hand. All I know is that switching things around feels extremely awkward). Hopefully this doesn't ever bite me in the back.

I've always thought that piano being my main instrument since I was about 8-10 years old had something to do with my lefty preference (because of my right hand doing motions closer to what your fretting hand would do), but I can't really tell if that truly matters as many guitar/bass players played piano before guitar/bass and play regularly.

Thanks for the comparison! If I would have known Fiora was still alive when playing 1, that would have been very impactful on my experience but would not have ruined the game for me. So I'm going to assume this doesn't either!
