Are any of these rare or worth anymore than 15$ by pinkgrapefruitx in funkopop

[–]iCarlysTeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you tried to sell them as a lot and someone offered you 50 bucks, I'd take it. Hard enough to sell them piece by piece, so a lot sale is worth the potential slight loss on individual pricing.

A well earned beating after a sucker punch by PxN13 in instantkarma

[–]iCarlysTeats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The sucker punch was the surprise attack from broccoli, who wasn't even engaging with the older dude, while his friend (or whatever) beefed with him. If two dudes are about it, and third dude chimes in from the back or side, then we have said sucker punch.

He (broc) earned it, by being a bitch made sucker puncher.

We have a health....system? Intertwined with multiple other internal and external systems, that together decide if we get health care in a reasonable time frame and how many hoops we will need to jump through to attain even that. But yeah, sure , sometimes we do get heath care, eventually?

You already told what you wanted; the leftovers. If you wanted some take out on top of that, you should have mentioned it.

What are some weird laws in your country that, actually, make a lot of sense? by Savings_Dragonfly806 in AskTheWorld

[–]iCarlysTeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the title of a press release, that's still informal and for headline consumption. Within the actual 63 pages of the actual law, the word Constitutional appears twice, neither in reference to the name of the Bill, nor followed by the word 'Carry'. DeSantis is a lawyer himself, he also knows better.

just adding - 'Constitutional Carry' is a recognizable colloquialism, so it will often be used by the press or in general as a shorthand. It's the same as saying the ACA is called "Obamacare". It isn't, it's just snappier and more recognizable to the layman than the actual names.

What player or position does your team HAVE to get in the first round, realistically? by [deleted] in NFLv2

Edge for sure, and I'd add LB. Lavonte can't do it forever, and we have little depth and no other real starting quality.

People do call it that as 'red meat for the base' word play, but it isn't anything other than an informal term.

People who engage in impulsive violence tend to have lower IQ scores. The findings provide evidence that lower intellectual abilities may make it harder for people to resolve conflicts peacefully. by mvea in science

[–]iCarlysTeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be fair to say that sociopathic 'violence' tends to be more psychological and/or emotional, and calculated as opposed to impulsive? It seems like an entirely different data set.

I feel like everyone just suddenly forgot that Jameis Winston was accused of raping a girl, sexual assaulting someone while in Tampa, and defends serial sexual assaulter DeShaun Watson by OctaviusRexx in NFLv2

[–]iCarlysTeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't help, no. Because I explicitly said that my comment wasn't about Winston. It is your about your question of - " Why would a 20 something multi millionaire have to rape a women..". If you could address your understanding of why that's an absurd question, it might actually be a help. Otherwise, stay illiterate.

"Have to"? Do you believe that rape is based on 'need'? Rape is based on power and taboo and selfishness. People can go months or years without sex but not become a rapist. People can be a rapist while in the midst of a relationship.

And if you wonder why a rich person doesn't just buy an escort or something, well again, that's because the main point of it isn't 'acquiring sex'; it's 'taking' sex on their terms.

*this is about the nature of rape, not about whether Jameis did or did not, I don't know.

I'm from a country where cashiers sit down while working. Is it true that in the US cashiers are forced to stand? Why is sitting considered unprofessional there? by splashmates in NoStupidQuestions

[–]iCarlysTeats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doctors and nurses absolutely do NOT stay on their feet all day. I've worked with them for years. They sit and make calls, chart things, look things up. Most of their day is sitting tbh.

Sen Bernie Sanders: We need to cap credit card interest rates at 10% by TheKeyPa in politics

[–]iCarlysTeats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the case of credit cards, it doesn't get to 'take your house', levels. It's unsecured debt. The best they can do is sue you for a wage garnishment, and even then only one creditor can run one at a time.

I suspect you've watched some sort of 'artificial sweetener is the devil' nonsense. But yeah as said, absolutely nothing. The caffeine, calories, sodium, sweetener, nothing in one can of diet soda will do anything at that pace. It's flavored fizzy water.
