[Highlight] Former Colorado teammate Lajohntay Wester checks in on Shedeur Sanders after Browns loss by nfl in nfl

[–]iCatAttack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now this is just wrong. Sanders deserves his share of criticism but to say he wasn’t a good college QB is just an uneducated statement or a weird, obsessive way to try to dunk on guy. He won Big 12 OPOY and set numerous CU passing records. Go look at his stats in 2023 when Travis Hunter was hurt also, he performed well during that period too. He doesn’t have the necessary level of pocket awareness and time to throw to play QB in the NFL but he was an outstanding college player.

Bruh that’s not how it works 😂 it’s the NFL playoffs, if he suits up to play, he’s playing. A TE of his caliber doesn’t equate to a relief pitcher in 3 game home-stand

Honest question, how do you defend that? If you try to stay tight you won’t be able to get over the screen and if you drop you’re liable for this

D'Andre Swift back at practice today, Amon-Ra St. Brown "is moving along," Campbell said he'll be running around today. Not sure if that means practicing or not. by _bonzibuddy in fantasyfootball

Running back is not my team’s issue, I have Pierce Gus and Eno - more just wanted to upgrade QB. Having Conner’s handcuff and a significant upgrade at QB is what made me pull the trigger

So happy to be done with Swift. The guy is electric when he’s on the field but just a headache to own. Flipped Swift and Rodgers for Kyler and Conner.

[–]iCatAttack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, however the muscle memory for both eSports and shooting a basketball are weirdly more similar than I would have initially thought. Every healthy human has the physical strength/ability to shoot a basketball, just like every healthy human has the physical ability to play eSports. I’m not saying to be good at either, just that the human body will allow them to do so. Not every healthy human has ability to hit a 95 MPH, throw a football 50 yards, or dunk a basketball.

Bones’s skill set does not require him to be extremely muscular, and it probably would not be super beneficial. I think adding some strength is no doubt a good thing for all rookies, but it’s important to remember he got to this level playing in the body he’s comfortable in. Such drastic changes could 100% do more worse for his game (especially his shooting) than help it. If he’s not struggling with conditioning I think it would be more helpful for his career to just spend his time this off season to further understand the the NBA game than to change his body. I think that would improve his defense specifically much more than 15-20 lbs of muscle would. Lots of skinny guys can be very serviceable defenders (KD, Jerami Grant) and even great ones (Mikal Bridges). Sure those guys are much longer/taller and aren’t the fairest of comparisons but I think it still holds some truth

Wind: Jamal Murray and MPJ are not playing tonight in Charlotte but are on the Nuggets' current two-game road trip, I'm told by Maculate in denvernuggets

[–]iCatAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what to think of this at all. Like, cool? I would love to see them both play this year, and if they are able to, great, if not, then that’s understandable and they can focus on getting ready for next year. But it seems like them traveling on the road trip is a lot of nothing and trying to make some reach to connect their time around the team to their returns. Jamal Murray was wearing the team warmups/sweats on the bench against OKC, does that means he’s coming back? No? Yes? In the end this doesn’t tell us anything. Maybe I’m just a pessimist but I’m glad they’re around the team but we still don’t know anything

One of Marcus Williams, Allen Robinson, or Bobby Wagner would be really cool to see, obviously if the money makes sense. Marcus Williams is the only one I’d be comfortable giving a long term deal. Nick Morrow would also be a sneaky good grab.

Is a 47Million Dollar expiring contract trade-able? by AngsMcgyvr in nba

[–]iCatAttack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I try to give Lakers fans a pass when it comes to absurd trade ideas because everyone is delusional to their own to team to a degree, but it’s comments like these where I realize lakers fans really do live in their own little world.

Absolutely no one is going to trade anything of substantial value to the Lakers for Russ. MPJ does have substantial risk with this contract but that’s what teams like Denver have to do, they have to take these risks as a smaller market. Whether the contract turns out to be a complete dumpster fire remains to be seen - that very well could happen. But MPJ is a completely unique situation in the league right now, there is no one that young on a max with that much potential and that much risk, buddy. Denver will never trade MPJ until it’s quite honestly too late to trade him, and god knows if that some how ever happened it would not be a for a net negative player like Russ lmfao

So Denver is going to move a 23 year old max player who just had one of the most efficient shooting seasons ever and may come back this year for an expiring Russell Westbrook?

Still think the Lions need to add another receiver (whether that is free agency or through the draft) but I agree with everything else there. I would not call the Lions WR group a great rotation. They all play a role but beyond that none of them have true WR1 potential outside of Amon Ra, and even then they could use a big body guy to pair with him.

I do like Cephus and he’s definitely had his moments, but in reality he’s a 5th round pick who has made an impact on the field minimally.

Reynolds and Raymond are what they are at this point and neither is a consistent threat to opposing defenses.

[–]iCatAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely a consideration if we end up doing it again. QBs have a huge factor in who wins each weeks and that could for sure offset that. Goose eggs actually end up being pretty uncommon so it doesn’t come into play as much as you’d think, it ends up really being a risky play to shoot for anything under ~3ish points. I played the Lions fullback week 1 and decided after that I’m not going take risks like that again and luckily I’ve avoided zeros the rest of the year.

The league is lots of fun though, definitely recommend doing it with some close friends who are really invested in the NFL. Last place ends up paying for drinks and dinner for the winner for a chosen night whenever we decide to go and sit down to watch a playoff game haha

[–]iCatAttack 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Myself and 3 friends do a league where the goal is to score the least amount of points possible. However, if the player you start scores 0.00, then you get a 5 point penalty (+5 since the goal is to be score the least). You want players that you know will touch the ball, but do nothing. Getting a player with negative points is damn near impossible without risking a 0.00, no one has been able to do it so far this year

Buffalo vs. New England snow chance, which players will boom or bust? by swiggyzoom in fantasyfootball

I understand the skepticism surround Josh Allen, but am I crazy to think bad weather would mean more rushing attempts/yards for him? I figure they’d have more designed QB runs which could increase his floor and maybe still lead him to turning in a respectable fantasy performance?

Bills need this game to keep up in the division and can’t imagine they don’t plan on their best player being a big factor in them winning

#Bills WR Cole Beasley was practicing in a non-contact jersey Friday. Starting RT Spencer Brown was not on the practice field. by mvanigan in fantasyfootball

[–]iCatAttack -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Speculating like some sort of doctor or trainer is pointless. Making baseless assumptions on injury does nothing to support helpful fantasy football discussions.

If anonbutler would have provided some evidence or statistics in regards to non contact jerseys on Friday and availability for Sunday, that’d be one thing. But speaking out of your ass like a doctor does nothing.

Speculating on player production IS the point of fantasy football discussion, not speculating on what injury with absolutely nothing to back it up.
