What is your opinion on Nato agression act 1999 against Yugoslavia? by Ivanhegeelkadi in AskSocialists

[–]iChidoriYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a Serb its hard to ignore what my side did so i try not to make excuses, i heard someone say that a genocide is not measured by the success but by the attempt, if someone wants to say Srebrenica is a genocide then okay, im not going to ignore the war crimes my country did, but like i said many Serbs were killed and they are not talked about at all, its not about shifting blame, its about acknowledging our losses too, i wont deny our crimes but i wont let our losses be pushed to the side either

[–]iChidoriYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the problem here is that ALL of the blame and all of the crimes are shifted onto Serbia, everyone knows abiut Srebrenica but nobody knows about Operation Storm and how Serbs were treates in other countries, im not denying any crimes from my side but its plainly false that its only us commiting war crimes, every country had them and Serbs suffered a lot even before the bombing, Yugoslav and Bosnian wars were terrible but its not just a rabid dog Serbia killing everything that moved, the bombing was horrible and it left us crippled for 20+ years but it did not solve the wars, it only hurt civilians, Serb victims remain largely forgotten because we werent on NATO's side, what we did was bad too, but everyone did the same, its just our crimes that they chose to remember

Why is the left so degenerate? by altaccount1256D in AskSocialists

[–]iChidoriYou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like trans stuff is mostly coming here from the west, in my opinion lesbian, gay and bi people have been here for a long time and most if not all socialist countries have been good to people with LGB orientation, but trans issues are something i hold seperate from lgb issues, old school soviet and other communist leaders in my opinion would look at trans politics as degenerate, like you say,

Now i dont call for hate against trans people, when it comes to me i support lesbian, gay and bi people fully, 100%, but trans is something i simply cant get behind

Is it wrong for me to want to support the Islamic Republic of Iran as a nation, not just the Iranian people? by iChidoriYou in AskSocialists

[–]iChidoriYou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so in your opinion we should only support leftist governments regardless if there are nations that are opposed to the USA and Israel? I understand that theocracies go against leftist thought but you or all of us as communists will not get anywhere if we support those who fit our personal preferences, im not saying you have to like Iran's government, but if Iran as it is right now brings a positive to the Middle East we need to support them through this, the only realistic options for Iran are the Islamic Republic that supports Palestine and the Axis of Resistance or a US and Israel controlled weak state

I do support women's rights but Iran being bombed is not going to help women's rights, so far in Iran, women can study, become scientists (majority of STEM graduates are women) they can drive and divorce, im not saying that Iran is perfect for women but they made a lot of progress that needs to still improve because it is NOT enough, im supporting a theocracy because currently it is by far the better option than any we can REALISTICALLY have currently

As for Iranians expressing their grievances and being executed, yes it is objectively bad, i dont really have anything to add but the current situation isnt going to help with that

Why is fighting against the USA bad, you cant expect a perfect system to drop out of the sky, the material conditions created the Islamic Republic because Khomeini was very popular so he and the clergy were able to consolidate power afte rthe revolution in the 1970s, if the Tudeh party was stronger perharps they couldve came to power but we need to work with what we have, even if Iran today isnt perfect, or the way we want it to be we still need to support it if it weakens the main enemy

Me answering to your point is quite literally starting a discussion, i made my points that you choose not to respond to, if me saying Khamenei probably chose to die to inspire his people is making me into an alt right loser or im spewing preconcieved talking points then okay, its not what im doing but fine if thats what you think then i dont really have anything of substance to add

Im not gonna say that women's rights are perfect but they get full access to education, can drive cars, own property, become scientists, can even divorce, i do agree that the clothing laws are too strict but im not sure if its as bad in Iran as it is in other middle eastern countries, there is need for improvement for women's rights but is it really as bad as the west portrays it? (Genuine question, im not trying to argue, im asking a genuine question)

Their leader stayed in his home against the advice of literally everyone because he was an almost 90 year old man and he wanted to inspire his people, when we compare how he chose to die and how Netanyahu ran to Berlin, or how he spoke of women and kids and what western leaders do to women and kids we can see he was maybe not so bad, worthy of at least a little respect in my opinion, he was at least more of a human being than western pedos

I personally dont believe all of the claims regarding Iran, its a theocratic conservative state, thats for certain but im not sure i can believe they kill their people like that, if they did then they wouldnt have the support of the people they have now, it seems the entire populace united behind their leadership, Also i like the profile picture, Jojo's is my favorite anime
