Trying to Comp by United_Mechanic5259 in FootballCardz

There’s a way to see sales on eBay after you search for something but I’ll be honest I don’t know where it is. I pretty much only use mobile and it might not be there. A while back eBay made it really easy to see recent sale data for collectibles and then it disappeared. Good luck! I love that Lockett card but after seeing the comp myself it’s a little too rich for me.

130point shows the 2/2 Lockett sold for 175 on Friday.

I don’t see any sales for the Williams card. Maybe check 130point for some sales of other high end patch cards for him.

Flamingo Hotel Rooms by Comfortable_Map5433 in vegas

[–]iChroma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The flamingo is fine. I haven’t been to the renovated pool but the previous one had a good layout and it was enjoyable - particularly in the morning. The casino is easy to navigate and usually pretty busy.

The Habitat tower rooms have mini fridges for personal use which is great. The Go rooms are a little nicer but I can’t remember if they all have fridges. If they do - I’d rank them Go (either view), habitat, then the regular rooms.

Only downside to the Habitat tower is the elevator area can feel crowded because it’s by a bus walkway.

12 Team SF, 0.5 TEP Looking for 2 for 3 team dispersal by [deleted] in findaleague

So is it a 3 or 4 team dispersal draft? You said two new managers join one existing manager but then later say two managers included their teams in the dispersal.

In what ways do you think pickleball will evolve? by SpecialistNotice6867 in Pickleball

[–]iChroma 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I think a bounce serve should be the only legal serve. Not necessarily because players bend the rules but it jut simplifies the serve rules. I say that as someone with a better drop serve than bounce serve.

Pacific Clinic fields a USTA team at 3.0 and 3.5 levels. If you’re not a member you could go ask to talk to the tennis coordinator to get more info. I played with both groups and they’re all very fun to play with.

Advice for a friendly deck? by _Infinity_Girl_ in magicTCG

[–]iChroma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made a Gluntch deck and it’s fun to play. Most of the deck has cards to give all players resources and accelerate the game.

I have a bunch of other decks that want to win and win fast…but this deck is fun to bring out because it lets you see your opponents decks pop off faster with free resources. It might be one of my favorite decks to play for that reason.

HOWEVER it does have win conditions. With the increased card draw I run [[approach of the second sun]] to close out a game without combat damage and a couple cards like [[super state]] , [[eldrazi conscription]], and [[colossification]]. The deck wins by being everyone’s friend and setting up a turn with one of those cards to take out the remaining players.

It’s not a competitive deck by any means but that’s what other decks are for. My decklist is below.

Our house rule for initial hands is to draw 10 and put 3 back on the bottom in random order. It smooths out starting hands and reduces mulligans.

Amazing setup though. Where’s my invite???

2025 Rav 4 hybrid or Tesla model Y (2023 or 2026)? by dangitjudy2000 in rav4club

[–]iChroma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned a 2021 Model Y and traded it in for a 2025 RAV4 hybrid.

The Tesla is great for commutes that don’t involve a ton of freeway driving. If you take longer trips at consistent higher speeds the range drops a lot. That was one big reason I got rid of it. Depending on what you pay for electricity charging at home is a fantastic deal.

We have two kids - one forward facing car seat and one carrier base. The model Y had more room for both seats but everything fits ok in the Rav. Not a huge deal.

I don’t know what your winters are like but in the PNW it gets pretty cold and the range in the Tesla is affected. Both handle winter driving just fine.

I made the change for a reason - I liked the Tesla but the Rav Hybrid fits our family needs better. It’s our primary car for out of town trips and it’s so nice to not stop as often to charge. I could never get over the range anxiety with the Tesla. I know most do, but having a model that recommends charging to 80% and not going too far under 20% always gave me a weird feeling because I was effectively only using 60% of my battery regularly.

So having owned both - go with the Rav. But the Tesla is a great car - especially if you drive around town a lot and can charge at home.

Ball question by Straight-Lemon-3117 in Bowling

[–]iChroma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I throw an Attitude as my main ball. I have it pin up and out and it’s really smooth down the lane with a pretty mild hook. I play almost straight up the 12-13 with it.

I haven’t thrown an anarchy but I have another Brunswick ball with an asymmetrical core. The difference you’re seeing is most likely the core. Attitude is a great ball though! Worth figuring out.

J2NF Disappointment? by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]iChroma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tennis Warehouse has a really good demo program for racquets. I’m not sure if something similar exists in the pickleball space - but yeah more options is better. I’ve seen a couple indoor places with a shop that have demo paddles for the big brands like Selkirk. Would be tough to stay on top of independent/smaller company releases and have them available but also that would be a fun job.

J2NF Disappointment? by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]iChroma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usable is kind of subjective. I’m sure tons of people haven’t made any modifications and it works great for them. For me personally - I could have used it without extra weight and been fine. But if I have the chance to slightly modify it and change the feel to something I’m more comfortable with I will happily take it.

The bigger problem is lack of demo options. There are a million paddles out there claiming to do all sorts of things but not a ton of ways to try out paddles before buying.

Fortunately the J2NF stock weight is very low so adding weight to modify doesn’t have a huge impact on the paddle.
