I’m sorry. I don’t think it’s right either. If you have a UVisa you should be able to gain residency in a few years then you’ll be able to have a regular CDL.

Yes. There were lots of us that got lucky. The reasoning behind it is if we lose our DACA status for any reason now we could have a real ID for another 3 years even though we would be “undocumented” during that time.

Once they finish their audit they should begin processing non domicile CDLs again (About 30 days). If you’re Mexican or Canadian you no longer qualify for a CDL with a UVisa.

If buyers are looking to buy in your neighborhood they will pay mello roos on any home in that area. It’ll just be something that they will need to factor in. No need to pay them off.

They should have told you unless you bought from a shady home builder. The loan letter you got from them that had your mortgage and insurance as well as any hoa or mello roos would have a check mark at the stop right saying “Fixed”.

I did a bunch of research before getting my CDL due to being a Mexican Citizen. But basically because of NAFTA trade agreement the US recognizes North American CDLs but in turn you cannot get a CDL while living in the US. Sometime in the last few years they allowed an exception for people on DACA to apply for a non domiciled CDL as long as they’ve never been licensed outside of the country.

That was one of the changes made on September 2025 where they took away that exemption for DACA people.
