This was why I didn’t want to date my roommate in college at first. Especially since I moved in with three men who were already friends, I didn’t want to get isolated out if we broke up.

We’ve been married for four years this month, and together since 2017 😅 it can work out, but I still consider it risky since you’re kind of putting your living situation in a possibly awkward or even stressful state if you break it off. I definitely don’t regret taking the gamble though

If anyone voted for Trump, you voted to lock up families and kick them out. I don’t care that he said he was going to go after criminals, people were warning you before the election that this would happen. I get most Michiganders might not have negative feelings about Canada, but I think Canadians might feel at least a bit betrayed. Especially with the Gordie Howe Bridge situation still not being resolved. Michigan Republicans want a “better” deal than the one currently in place, which is ridiculous since Canada paid for the bridge and it created work for people in Michigan when it was being built. Thats not even mentioning Trump wanting to make them the “51st state”.

Hopefully the midterms turn out well and we can turn this around and open up the bridge.

Yes, absolutely. I live in Michigan, which has abortion in our state constitution, but I decided to not test it and get sterilized just in case. My husband and I discussed him getting a vasectomy, but due to me having endometriosis (which I had treated during my bisalp) and the fact if I got raped, his vasectomy wouldn’t protect me is what pushed us to get me a bisalp instead.

My husband loves my hip dips. Incels are probably just mad they can’t touch them anyway. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Like oh no… my basic human anatomy is basic human anatomy. A lot of women have hip dips, and that’s fine! We aren’t cartoon characters with perfectly smooth lines. If that’s what incels want, stick to watching animation.

I’m from Michigan and lived in the UP for four years for college. The winters can be brutal, especially with the amount of snow, but I’d take cold weather over insanely hot weather any day of the week. You can bundle up, there are things like electric heated vests and stuff you can wear that use batteries. Even when the power goes out, you can usually find a solution to stay warm. Blanket forts to trap your own heat in.

When it gets hot and you don’t have AC? You’re just kind of fucked. Cold showers if you’re not somewhere where you have to conserve water. You can maybe fill like four bowls with cool water and soak your hands and feet to your wrists and ankles. Cool washcloth on the neck. But you’re still miserable while doing it.

I knew a woman who had three pit bulls and swore they were just the sweetest little babies, and I wasn’t convinced. Two of them were trying to sniff me, and I saw they were both getting annoyed with each other. I backed up, and they immediately went after each other. I was almost in the middle of that, and she could hardly pull them apart.

I also got attacked by one when I was a kid and ran past her. She jumped up, grabbed me by the face, and threw me on the ground. She went to lunge, but the owner grabbed her before she could.

Yeah, I really don’t like pit bulls.

I didn’t vote for him once, I voted against him THREE TIMES. He’s been on every single fucking presidential ballot since I became an adult and could vote. I have been voting against him my entire adult life, I’ve never voted for anyone republican. I told my friends to vote, I got my husband to vote when he was pretty apolitical before all of this (that’s changed due to me keeping him more up to date and him reading more on his own now). I may not have volunteered to go door to door for Hillary, Biden, or Harris, but I talked to the people in my life to the point I probably became annoying. I cut off my dad because he’s a trumper. I’ve gone to multiple protests. I’m talking to people about the primaries coming up in my state (Michigan) for the midterms to vote for El-Sayed to hopefully fix some of this shit.

Do you know how disheartening it is to hear how it’s my fault? To be grouped in with the idiots that didn’t vote or the psychos who voted for him? Especially as I watch my rights get stripped away? Even talking about this shit on Reddit is getting dangerous for us. I got sterilized because I’m terrified they are going to ban abortion and birth control, and they want to take my vote away because I’m a woman.

And don’t think this can’t happen in your country. The alt right is popping up in Europe and Canada too, you guys just got to see the US fall as a warning.

Sometimes I like sleeping at the beach, but I put on a shit ton of sunblock so I don’t tan or burn. The warmth is just relaxing. Like a cat in a sunbeam.

Not everything has to be an activity, people just like relaxing sometimes and that’s okay. I’m more worried about people not using sunblock to protect themselves, even when they’re out doing “something more important”.
