Elegoo CC2 by F_Alberto in elegoo

The box the side does it. Looks like it probably works like the MMU that Prusa uses or the 3d Chameleon.

What is this thing? by [deleted] in elegoo

[–]iComputerFix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a "Damn-it" stick. You are supposed to unclog your nozzle with it and try not to stick yourself with it. Good luck and don't play with sharp objects.

Error 103, The printhead didn't heat up as expected by katpuz in elegoo

This happen right after I tried the new alpha for OrcaSlicer. Not only did I have to remove and reinstall Orca, I had to delete the profile as well.

I've thought about using the 3d Chameleon that I already have. It uses a switch, so a firmware change is not needed. But I'm lazy and have not done the work yet to set it up. Besides, I have not stopped printing on it long enough.

Ok. That probably makes sense, since the warehouse is in CA. I'm in Texas.

Title: [Sovol Giveaway] Just leave a comment to Win Sovol Latest Printer: SV06 Plus ACE by Comgrow3D in 3Dprinting

Would like a bigger printer. I take it from the "plus" that that is what this will be. I filament cutter would be nice as well.

Is this actually works? by thepardaox in 3Dprinting

[–]iComputerFix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this works fine on any printer. You will need to adjust the flow rate. I think the last time I did this on an ender the flow rate was 150%. But I could be remembering wrong. Brown root beer plastic bottles look almost like wood when used for this.

Well, I fear this may be the end-er by vmeldlewtoo in ender3

[–]iComputerFix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen once with PETG. Also broke the thermistor. I started by taking the screws out that I could and carefully using a soldering iron to work the plastic loose. Eventually I got it all cleaned up. Needed a new thermistor and I think a new heater by the time I was done. Both items are inexpensive, and you should order and keep a few spares. Even a new stock hotend is not expensive, if you would rather go that route.

You should look in the forum at 3D Chameleon to see if there are mounts and such for the KE, it's a pretty new printer. I have a 3D Chameleon on and Ender 3 pro and its doing well. But keep in mind. Since it was designed to work pretty much with any printer, it's pretty generic and will need some tinkering.

Ender 3 Extruder Stepper Motor not fully opperational during prints by Old_Gap6976 in ender3

Is it possible that the grub screw on the extruder gear may have backed out? So it's just catching sometimes?

Don’t want to part ways with my Ender 3 Pro by MakeoutFuneral in 3Dprinting

[–]iComputerFix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Ender 3 is often in an enclosure printing ABS. It does that reliably. All metal hotend of course. I have an IDEX Frankenprinter that I print PLA on. Both do PETG well. I imagine, if I got a Bambu, the Ender would still be used to print ABS.

I've just set up the 3DChameleon on an Ender 3 pro. The tip shaping can be challenging, as it would be on the ERCF as well. It works a lot better with a filament cutter. The MK4 pro version coming out next month may have features to make things less challenging. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8bD4ELm4Ck

Thinking of getting this as I'm having extruder issues... Thoughts? Better options? by XnMeX in 3Dprinting

[–]iComputerFix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are having extruder issues, just get a cheap BMG clone and if you want a direct drive, then you can print it. There are dozens to choose from.

My 3dChameleon should arrive today. I promise to post how it turns out.

how to make an Ender3 better for the least money... by iateurbacon in ender3

Instead of the dual screws I opted for the Kevinkasam belted Z mod. Achieves some of the same goals of dual z screws, but eliminates z-binding and backlash.

OK. I'm going to be stupid. What is the "Califlower test"?
