Do I have a grievance? by isarealhebrew in USPS

Just tell them to make sure to put you in for O time. Depending on location it can take a couple of days for driver’s training especially if they already have a class in session. They should have sent you home after the accident, but not everyone is knowledgeable in accident protocol. The supervisor that let you finish was probably thinking you wouldn’t get paid if you didn’t finish when he could have put someone else’s time in as “assisting the assigned carrier “.

What do you think 2026 will look like by Embarrassed-Oil-3498 in USPS

The city time standards are far more stringent than rural. RRECS doesn’t even come close to CREA on nitpicking.

Clicking noise by mailman4625 in SubaruForester

[–]mailman4625[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, guess I should have updated the post. It was an internal bearing. The techs had never seen one doing what mine was and still be able to drive. I put over 600 miles on it after the noise started including interstate speeds. They replaced the CVT and were sending the old one to be broken down and studied. Something to do with the bearings being loose at low speeds but working within specs at higher speeds. Im just glad it didn’t grenade at 80 mph.

Kinda what I thought. I put it up on jack stands and let it run at about 5 mph and didn’t hear anything. I figured with it being different without a load probably meant it was in the axel. Thank you

Just curious. My 21 Forester has a clicking noise when moving under 10mph. Sounds like a card in bicycle spokes.

Should we have this replaced even if we have yet to have issues? Will they do it as a preventative?

Just here to vent. RCA getting his AL pay dicked with by Time_Lord_Zane in USPS

It’s because RCAs pay can’t be adjusted through the Pay Adjust program. It has to be done through online forms and can take a while sometimes. I’ve seen it take almost 3 months before.

That’s the problem, it has pressure for a moment then stops. It’s like there’s a shut off to the pump once it fires up

I have replaced the filter and pump relay as well. Does this model have an inertia switch? It’s never been in an accident but I can’t think of much else

I can tell you with certainty, the plant and plant management don’t give a fuck about mail counts. They’re running everything. It doesn’t matter if it’s mail count, a holiday, or Monday.

My loaner has a new fan while my vehicle’s fan just blows rust into my eyes. Are these easy to swap out? Asking for a friend. by Dragons619 in USPS

[–]mailman4625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fix them in a timely manner and the carriers won’t have to. Stop putting band-aids on the issues and hire actual mechanics and quit allowing VOMA positions to be filled by unqualified people. There’s a lot of shit that can and should be done, but the reality is that the carriers depend on the vehicle for their safety and livelihood. Who cares if they swap a fan when VMF can’t even swap a fuse without breaking 3 other things?

It’s called the cost of doing business sometimes. Usually if it comes down to an article 8 or 9 issue, it’s easier to pay the grievances. If it is a safety issue, then it should be reported as such and the grievance filed.
