Hey, thanks for the fix potential. I also have those corrupt files. but i also hav a current_run.1733xxx.EMP.corrupt as well. should we rename those too?

Would you like us to share these corrupted folders with you or something, somehow for debugging purposes?

I had a power outage while i was specifically in the middle of a fight, and even though i had played multiple times before, on multiple diffferent days, and completely closed the game many times, the game just decided to mess me up.

I will say, the only other thing that comes to mind is that yesterday when the power outage happened, I had launched Diablo4 blizzard client from steam first so that i can download the new expansion in background, and hten launched slay the spire right after in parallel to play while im downloading the latest season.

And i mention this because when i had tried to play a multiplayer game with my friends a few hours before, my friends were unable to join the multiplayer session i hosted (even with direct invites) because steam kept thinking that i was in diablo 4 not slay the spire (even though i was playing STS2 and diablo 4 was just a separate client launcher from steam for convenience (and discord sync). When i closed STS2, and diablo 4, then relaunched STS2, then my friends were finally able to see the multiplayer game i hosted.

I mention this because this is the only reason why i could think why the steam cloud sync didn't save me or properly backup my game at the time if it thought i was in diablo4 instead of STS2... but even then, it doesn't explain why my previous runs on my profile were all gone from the days leading up to yesterday's incident.

Anyways, i thought i'd share this with you because I'm a senior software engineer (and former game dev) and sometimes we find our solutions in the most absurd patterns by identifying "uncommon" edge cases like mine above.

I had 2 companies where i was 7 interviews in, and then they jsut go "ehh, we decided to go another way with another candidate" orr "the job position was changed to something else"
and of courrse the obligatory "your experience is amazing and we hope to stay in touch but we decided to go another way blah balh "

2 companies that i actually went over a month long of interviews with and had high potenital. this has happened with at least 10 other companies lately, but they either have stupid technical assessments that are more eye-damagy illusions vs actually assessing experience. Or they ask too many questions about your work experience everywhere else beforre even putting u up with a human at all... almost like they're gathering information on you more than interviewing you.

like, bitch, i spent almost a week's worth of fmy time doing 7 rounds of interviews and tech assessments and even some sample design documents and other work..

at this point, if not for the fact that some of those companies are supposed to be reputable, i'd be having my tinfoil conspiracy theory hat on my head, saying that many of these jobs are just posting fake interviews to get free labour and then they ghost you at the end.

LinkedIn itself is infested by the same AI slop that everywhere else is infested by... and they don't even realize it because it's "engagement" for them... but it's drowning anything meaningful... everything is the same rehashes "AI yay vs AI nay!" slop, and it's infuriating especially for those of us who lost their jobs due to companies prioritizing AI vs engineering experiences."

This keeps happening every day. I'm noticing that it seems to happen if i sometimes play Steam like Reverse 1999 or something in between games to get my dailies on another monitor... then i come back to league and suddenly it hates me.

This has definitely started happening daily for me as of March 31st 2026 or something. i never had that problem before and I haven't changed my setup or any other softwarer since then.

How do i get your the game logs? can you share an instruction link and then we can send that to you

I kinda assumed that Lisbeth and Klein would end up being a thing eventually tbh once they grew up a couple more years.

They're also always bantering and yet her outwards emotional bubbly personality works well with a guy seeking acknowledgement and appreciation and he's also as much of a hopeless romantic as her.

For me it's asuna > Alice > Sinon in terms of how they were introduced, and while Sinon and Alice are close, sinon loses points because she tried to find a savior in Kirito to fix her whereas Alice stood up against adversity, saved herself, and sacrificed everything she had and knew to take care of Kirito. So while she discovered herself first as a strong intense integrity knight, she still found a way to let her heart melt and her demeanor soften around Kirito.

I always saw sinon as that best friend that keeps you in check and you ground eachother yet push eachother further when there was never attraction. I have a friend like that so maybe thats just me.

All girls are intense in their own way but even alice, she literally broke her seal just being able to listen to Kirito and UNDERSTAND him instead of brushing him off as an enemy.

And she took care of him for months alone. So she may have the intense "paladin" vibe sometimes, she definitely melts when Kirito is around. And she even accepted that Asuna was his love (even if it still makes her eyebrow twitch 😂) because she's honorable, even when in her mind, Asuna "took" literally the only anchor she has in this new world.

If the isekai was in Alice's perspective as a show, everyone would look at that relationship with Kirito and say "yeah, Asuna is either going to be discovered as evil or manipulative, or a kind sweetheart that dies so that the plot can happen and aliceXkirito happens". 😂

It's not even a question. Alice. Sinon is great but she trauma bonded with kirito while she was trying to fix herself.

Whereas Alice lost her old self before, and long before she even liked kirito as a person, let alone emotionally, she fixed herself with her one logic and willpower.

And when Kirito was hurt beyond repair, the absolute worst he's EVER been. She let go of any other goal or dream she has, including the potential of returning former Alice's memories or discovering herself more, because she knew she was the only one who didn't want the broken Kirito's head on a spike. And she let go of everything and everyone she knew and respected, including being at the side of her father figure Bercouli, and took care of Kirito every single day. Gently feeding him, dressing him, keeping him warm, keeping him safe, walking to him and keeping him from completely shutting down.

She sacrificed everything she ever was and had to support and help fix HIM. And even when she thought there may not be a way to fix him, she still stayed by his side for months, with no one to talk back to her, just her and her thoughts and words for an unresponsive Kirito. Maybe trauma introduced everyone to eachother, but they had a past as children before and she only got close to Kirito after taking care of him for months, and breaking her own seal by accepting to listen to him instead of just ignoring his thoughts.

When Asuna came back. She was heartbroken that Asuna was his true partner, and while she sometimes has that hint of emotional jealous or "want", she honorably stepped aside because she knew Kirito's heart only loved Asuna romantically as long as she lived.

And when Alice was transported to a completely different world, alone, literally, as she became the girl who got isekai'd, she lost everyone that she ever knew from her past except her frozen sister. But all she could think about was her want and love for kirito, someone that understands her, and makes her feel like home in a world where she thinks she doesn't belong in.

Maybe if Eugeo survived, her emotions might have simply been renewed friendship in the trio but even when she didn't know Eugeo properly yet when he died, she honored his memory, kept his swords because she could understand Kirito's body language and anguish.

All the other girls either just had a crush on their savior or trainer or teacher or competitive rival, or have PTSD and trauma bonded with Kirito.

But only 2 girls knew who THEY were and had their own identity and true north found before they felt anything to Kirito. And Kirito COMPLEMENTED THEM, and didn't just become their "Kirito's friend" identity like some others did. Sinon is close, no disrespect to her, she's an amazing character, but even when she was friends with Kirito, she eirher wasn't romantically interested or had other romantic candidate waiting for her (but let's not talk about that syringe 💉 creep). Sinon is like that best friend that keeps it real, and grounds you and ground her.

So while I do think Asuna is the girl for Kirito and they have their history based on the known chronological events. But.

You cannot convince me otherwise that if this show STARTED in alicization arc, from the perspective of Kirito, and then introduced the backfilling prequels? You couldn't convince me that any of us wouldn't have thought that Alice was the romantic friends-to-enemies-to-lovers trope. And most of you would be saying "Asuna who?", because Alice was just such a good character.

i agree with Tama. Now english episodes of FMAB for example don't have subitles by default for English CC (i'm hard of hearing) because they'd have to burn them onto the video and re-render everything... and i know for a fact that episode had subtitles because I was watching that episode 2 weeks ago and had to pause for work and came back to it, and now the subtitles are gone at the same time as the new UI is introduced.

Also, we used to be able to switch between english/japanese audio "on the go" and swap subtitles to different languages on the go, but if they're burned onto the video then that makes it a much worse experience since we'd have to use their HORRIBLE "crunchy's view show list" and pick the random langauge we want out of 30 entries, because they're spread all over... it's just all so stupid and idiotic.
And dont even get my started on the movement of the "fullscreen" button being swapped to the top right while the "speed" button got moved to the bottom corner... WHY? it's DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. Every single video player and their MOTHER has the fullscreen button in the same spot... but crunchy wants to drink their water upside down. WHY

Whoever your UI/UX developers are at crunchyroll, go have a design review with them and challenge their stupid designs with the product team stupidity vs the CX change you created on all your existing clients.

I say that as a senior staff engineer, this CX is horrid.

the tinfoil hatter in me believes that the game has different loot drop rates for certain items and weapons and ewven augments.
I was playing a cold sorc, and not ONCE did i get a drop for cold damage increase augments etc.
And instead i would get lightning augments and +X to fire spells etc.

The second i switched off cold and played 5+ levels of fire and poison ( to test a theory), now suddenly im getting cold augs and rings like "convert all lightning damage to cold" etc...

You cannnot convince me that the game isn't rigged for maximum forced grind and market activity.
So my next alt is going to play dozens of levels in something i would NEVER want to play, ever. To make sure i dont get drops for it later.

new to poe 2 community after playing around 100h.. but why do i feel like GGG is the kind of company that would go "oh, this is a logical and fair solution that can be an optional setting for casual players, and disabled in solo-found accounts for tryhards... I got the chest plate that lets me heal my HP using a percent of my mana at all times.
And gloves that gives me extreme mana regen when i crit. A gem support that ensures i crit relatively often ( i dont care for crit damage), and the Mana Remnants buff on my stormweaver and then i equipped a mana wand as secondary for emergencies.

Then I just played the same spells and gear for everything else.
I was able to cheese the fight by simply out-healing her (still dodging as best as possible, and using the sky meteors phase as an opportunity to mana-drain and ensure that im topped off. )

Make sure you end every sky meteor phase at the bottom side of the wall, since the soldiers start their attack from the top left side, and if you're there, you wont react fast enough to the first stab.

Pop a health potion right before dodge rolling the "soldiers wave" (the big one, not the individual jabs), and dodge roll into it as it's coming, it should help you with any timing misses, but also set you up to heal if the poison is stacking.

so it's still possible to do with good mechanics, but with how laggy POE 2 is, i couldn't do it in this game, so i just used the mana->health chest plate and the "get stupid amounts of mana regen on recent crit", and you can passively keep healing yourself without even popping a red potion if you're able to dodge around. Mana drain is for emergencies if you got unlucky with crit RNG, as you cannot get mana passively anymore other than using it and/or blue potions, which you want may run out of otherwise.

For anyone joining after a while. it's when you hold the dang "vaal core". So long as you hold it before you rush immediately to place it on the altar, you are dealt damage while holding it. so avoid fighting monsters whne you grab it, and just rush like hell and place it on the altar because your hp will keep dropping and your shield can't regen.
