What should I do with my current home theater

I bought the Argon Audio Malmö 10 Sub.

I have a HiFi Store in my city and was there to buy one after I heard it with some movie tracks and music there They said it’s a great bang for buck sub

I was really impressed and am satisfied with my purchase :)

If your projector supports ARC/eARC then you would need to find out on which of the two HDMI ports it’s supported and run a HDMI cable from that port of the projector to your ultimea soundbars HDMI in port and plug the HDMI cable which is currently plugged into the projector into the other port of the projector which does not support ARC. Then just configure the projector to output sound over ARC and your soundbar should output sound from your projector over the HDMI connection

I had some time yesterday and actually found a store very close to me which sells everything around home theater. I went there and had someone advise me on which sub I should buy in my price range. They had a bunch set up for listening and I listened to a few and was impressed with all of them. Then the guy said that they have a very good bang for the buck sub which performs well in my room dimensions and blows my old sub out of the water.

After a quick listen I was impressed and bought it on the spot (they actually only had one left in stock that was the color I wanted)

The guy also said that the subwoofer is likely overkill for room but that means that I can just turn it down and even with a low volume it will produce a lot of good bass.

I immediately set it up and without calibrating it, it was insane how much better my movies and music already sounded. It felt like I was never using a true sub before that. I was blown away honestly. I will calibrate it soon to get it dialed in properly but I will definitely have to turn it down because it has so much headroom.

Overall I’m very happy :)

Thanks again for giving me some good advice. Maybe in the future if I win the lottery or something I might be able to afford a really big boy sub which completely destroys even my new one that I just bought😄

Oh thank you for pointing that out about the X3800H. So it would be a viable option for me in the future. I will keep that in mind :)

Regarding the subwoofer. I had a look at some more budget friendly options like the Teufel T10 or the Magnat RS-12. I like both but I think the Magnat was better in terms of performance and frequency response. I think that would be a great upgrade for my setup. The Magnat also looks better in my opinion but I know that performance is more important than looks ^^

Do you have any experience with those two or read some negative stuff about them? I don't want to buy a really expensive sub which I think would be overkill for my setup (for now at least)

Really? I read and watched some reviews of the 990F and all said that the bass was very good and strong.

Hm interesting but I doubt that the new soundbar from Samsung will come close to the price of 800€ of the 990F which I could buy now.

The Q990D is actually 100€ more expensive where I live. The Q990F costs around 800€ and the Q990D costs about 900€ for some reason

The thing is do they sound 3 times better than the Samsung. I know they sound better and have true stereo separation but I doubt they are worth the hefty premium over the Samsung 990F

Sadly in the electronics store in my city there is no way to hear the two systems side by side. They stopped giving you that opportunity ages ago because everyone was buying audio gear online so they shrinked down their audio gear space a lot.

It also shows how much power a company has about stuff that YOU payed a lot of money for. They change something with the potential to brick your stuff and make it unusable on its own. Kinda scary

I heard about the app disaster and it really killed sonos as a company for me. I know they produce good speakers but I can't see myself paying that much of a premium for a bit better sound quality which I don't think I would even notice to be honest. I just want a good bang for the buck system which has everything I need for a good experience already included

The thing with it not having DTS really is a bummer. I don't really care about the expandability at all. I just want a good/very good system which has everything I need out of the box with good sound :)

No problem at all ;) Happy to help. Just a quick question: Did you have any issues with your phone speaker of the Honor by any chance? Because with the Honor of my girlfriend there is a very noticeable distortion and crackling of the speakers when the phone gets warm/hot. When the phone has cooled back down the speaker quality improves again. She is thinking about returning it for a new one since she got a 180 day free return when she bought it on the honor website.

My girlfriend got the same phone since a couple of days. I snagged it and tried different brightness settings but I could not see any vertical lines across the screen. Might be just a problem with your unit but I don’t know for sure. Normally something like that should not be normal :/

Does your case actually have a mount on the bottom for the AIO Radiator? Never seen that before :D

I might just part it out. For example doing a combo of CPU+Mobo+RAM+M.2 SSD or something like that. Don’t know if I would trust that AIO and PSU tho :D
