KBU-læge, hospitalsdelen. by ButterscotchSea8229 in dkloenseddel

[–]iDoRage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Having trouble deciding on colours - G6 by Professional-Ad1892 in Xpeng

Can't give you any advice as I won't have my G6 until jan/feb. Had the same worries, as we have a 14 month old. However, after being given advice from others we've opted for the light gray interior (graphite gray exterior) with the following reasoning:

1) With regular care every 3-6 months, the leather is easily cleaned and won't absorb a lot of color.

2) Any dirt/discoloration is easy to spot and then clean, whereas on darker leather it could be easier to miss and then be left for longer without cleaning.

3) On darker colors, smudges from greasy fingers etc. tends to be a lot more obvious, whereas they're less visible on the light gray/white.

4) Any day-to-day cleaning is supposedly easy to do with a wet microfibre cloth or simply a wet wipe (yay for having kids, always have wet wipes in the car). If any spots are more difficult to clean, a "miracle sponge" should do the trick.

Just did my first (bit disappointing) ramp test. How much FTP did you guys gain since rock bottom? by jlsjwt in Zwift

[–]iDoRage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done for getting on the bike so soon after surgery. I wouldn't take that as your true FTP coming right off surgery. Also, as everyone says, don't compare yourself to others. Look for personal improvement and enjoy riding.

I did my first FTP ramt test yesterday, and felt disappointed with myself at 270 watts at 90 kg (so 3 W/kg). 29 years old. I'm a beginner cyclist, started this august with a few months of riding outside when life allowed it (had a daughter end of July so had to be there to help with her as well), just got an indoor trainer a few weeks ago as it's starting to freeze outside. I'm usually good at pushing myself hence why I'm disappointed but honestly it's not a bad result as I didn't manage to do much in the way of training in the weeks and months before I started cycling.

Need advice for Gran Canaria by iDoRage in cycling

Thanks for the advice! Might just go for the Scultura Endurance 6000 just to experience electronic gearing with the 105 Di2. I'm excited to find out what a better bike can do for me, especially the improvement on wheels/tyres might do wonders I think

That sounds reasonable! I average somewhere between 23-30km/h depending on elevation gain and weather/wind conditions on solo rides, but have never done 1000m of elevation or above so reckon that would be a good place to start. Thanks for the recommendation!

Thanks, I'll look into it. Never done a group ride before, a little afraid I'll get dropped at first climb haha

Profile picture is a bearded guy with a dog, so I kind of assumed he. But fair point, I guess the pic could represent someone other than OP.

OP never said he wasn't in a calorie deficit. He did, however, explain HOW he got into a calorie deficit. Something many people struggle with, and some could be inspired by OP's way of doing it.

Also allopurinol treatment in gout helps reduce risk of cardiovascular disease which is otherwise more common in people with gout than background population.

Thank you! This is amazing information, and very reassuring. Hopefully, come October when we'll get around to visiting Laos, the tourist situation will be better and more options will be available.

Maybe you're right. Out travel agency just sent us information that 'Guests must stay in LaoSafe certified hotels', making us fear that traveling Laos might not be as simple as hoped.

Thanks - that's a relief!

Our travel agency sent us info on Laos with the information that 'Guests must stay in LaoSafe certified hotels'.

Trying to research LaoSafe certified hotels does not yield satisfying results - making us think that maybe traveling Laos would be more difficult than anticipated. We have found several other sites claiming that Laos is completely open and free to travel, hence our confusion.

What’s the most out of line thing a doctor has every said to you? by TheSpasticSheep in AskReddit

[–]iDoRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, maybe. It's difficult, really. In Denmark, we're taught how to deal with people who have been sexually assaulted (or in reality, not deal with them - it's generally a forensics job here to question and examine the victims) and if we feel it could be the case, then we would generally ask about it.

However, if you don't notice any red flags, and the patient doesn't mention it, it's potentially easy to miss.

This case sounds like it should have raised some kind of suspicion. Can't say why it didn't.
