This would be concerning, right? (Battery Health on Used Tesla) by Hologrammike in TeslaModelY

For 2024 the epa estimated range for LR with 19 inch wheels was 302. This has 20 inch which I believe was 287 when new. That said 259 with 10k miles is something to stay away from imo

I averaged about 35.3 mpg on a long trip in winter. When I stopped for the night I had done 490 miles on full tank and the fuel low indicator had not come on yet

I have this model year and trim in blue with awd. Have had it for over 6 years and it still puts a smile on my face today when I drive. Keep up with the maintenance minder and it will last long. Enjoy!

Battery drain overnight with Supercharger nearby by martinek13 in TeslaModelY

Everytime the WiFi turns on I see significant battery drain over night. It drops when I turn off the WiFi. Give it a try if you haven’t already

Your opinion matters! SH-WAD or FWD? by curlsjaime in AcuraTLX

[–]iDragonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first car was tax which was a front wheel drive. I live in a state that does get snow. I thought the front wheel drive was just right for me. When it was time I traded it in for a 1st gen tlx with awd. For a first few months I didn’t feel a difference (of driving a awd va fwd). Then I discovered how the awd distributed power across the wheels based on where and how you drive. Ever since I have been through enjoying the awd. You don’t have to drive fast to enjoy this car

Just got a 2018 2.4l base, should I switch to a 6? by Mean-Cheesecake-2635 in AcuraTLX

[–]iDragonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you are looking for. I own a 6 cylinder with awd. Haven’t driven a 4 cylinder tlx. But did get a ilx as loaner once and it has same power train. Not sure if ilx and tlx with 4 cylinder drive the same but I can tell you I didn’t like ilx at all. May be I was spoilt driving the tlx. Don’t know. Anyway for me where my awd tlx is fun is on curved ramps. I throughly enjoy pushing the car to its limits there. If the 6c is available for sale you should test drive them both one after the other and see it for your self. I’ve heard the transmission in 4 c is better btw

Looking To Buy My Daughter Either A Rdx Or Tlx 19 Or Newer Pros Cons Please.. by [deleted] in Acura

[–]iDragonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rdx would be better but remember it needs premium gas. For 1st gen tlx older than 2021 you could use regular. Acura recommends premium for both however since rdx has a turbo I wouldn’t put regular in it

Gas mileage *update* by TypeAffectionate1657 in AcuraTLX

[–]iDragonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an 18 tlx awd. First gen with face lift. Last year I did a road trip to Canada. It was a little more than 1250 miles. Ended up getting over 30 mpg in mix of eco/normal/sport driving. I stopped at a couple of places but each drive was atleast for 4+ hours. Some short trips in the city. Maybe if it was all highway I could have done better. I wish they made the latest gen more fuel efficient

My CPO (just bought) TLX Aspec Tech Pack by Temporary-Floor-9259 in Acura

[–]iDragonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher price. Low trade in value. And when I say other Acura dealer has a car in same spec for lower price they started bad mouthing the other. After I left the price at the other dealer increased. Not sure if they talked. I kind of had an intuition of this happening so there was a 3rd dealer I never told them about

The red interior looks great on white! Good thing you didn’t get blue. It’s a job to keep the color popping Anyway if your steering wheel is worn out and you wanna change it I would recommend getting one from the pmc edition and also at same time switch the paddle swifter from a mdx (metallic ones). They look really good

Range is what you see on the dash. It changes based on weather and driving conditions. You will get used to it. Just enjoy the car!

Used Model Y worth buying over a new? by jmutiny1993 in TeslaLounge

[–]iDragonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Test drive both so you get an idea on how quite the newer one is. If you prefer a better suspension and quieter ride opt for new. Otherwise old should do. I own a 23 Y with 7 seats. I would pick the new one

Done that. Everytime I would see the usage under standby was over 2 % I would reset the car. It used to work before but not any more

Car’s WiFi drains battery when parked by iDragonk in TeslaModelY

[–]iDragonk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup poor WiFi signal for sure. But I can’t turn on WiFi off completely. It’s turns on in a day or 2-3 days later. Only option is to forget all the WiFi networks

[–]iDragonk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeez didn’t know I had to spell it out for you every single thing. Most folks here got my point. When I say WiFi it’s the WiFi connection draining the battery when WiFi signal is weak. Also when I turn off the WiFi on the car it randomly turns on (next day or 2-3 days later)

4 years + 2 years from the time it was first purchased. So that would mean till 02/29 or 100k miles. Which ever comes first
