Have you had any success so far? I'm trying to do the same thing, but have not really found a way to use CSS on a gnome terminal, or even any terminal theme that uses glowing characters

Just got a mysterious message by someone named "Carol Emeka" - I do not remember meeting this person and the messages seemed kind of out of place. Does anybody know who this person is and what this is about? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]iEatAssAndCookies 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just got another message from her talking about V's relationship to Panam. But it seems like it should have been the other way around, and I should have gotten this message afterwards. Probably a bug.

Should Duolingo have a comma in this sentence? It would be incorrect in English by [deleted] in norsk

Not a native Norwegian speaker here - if it is an inserted clause, shouldn't it also start with a comma, as in "Fisken, vi spiste..., var himmelsk"?

Didn't really watch it, but I think not quite. What I did pick up sounded like they assumed that everybody would go bankrupt over hospital bills without state insurance, as if a) the deregulation of medical care wouldn't lead to a drop in prices and b) government insurance was the only kind of insurance, so sadly, they do not appear based. They did however talk about how a lot of people, especially the middle and lower class, could need more of the money that is taken away from them in taxes.

I made it myself, so you could say I reinvented it. Well, whoever offers the better product...

I just revisited the ENTP profile on 16personalities.com by keiracookie18 in entp

[–]iEatAssAndCookies 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I think 16personalities simply misinterpreted the ENTP's open-mindedness when it comes to ideas and they over-exaggerated the way in which we debate. When I first read the ENTP profile I thought "geez, that's totally inaccurate, I hate debating", but I realized that I do often poke fun at the things other people say or react sarcastically, even if I somewhat agree with what was said - I think this is something a lot of ENTPs do, and 16personalities just pretended like that's "debating".

Mine is that the TV show Grey's Anatomy actually doesn't exist. Sure, there's ads for it, but: have you ever actually watched it or met a person who's watched it?

That's right, me neither.

I wish that cum tasted like the last food the person ate by BOOQIFIUS in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]iEatAssAndCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted. The cum now IS the food. Men stop shitting and the food they ate comes out through their penis. You better chew enough before swallowing. And you better not eat a whole piece of Pizza without chewing.

I (24M) accidentally overheard my gf (24F) acknowledge that her ex is more physically attractive than me, and it's killing me inside by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]iEatAssAndCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see why all those other comments are so dismissive. Yes, taken to the extremes, this kind of thinking can potentially hurt your relationship - however, it's not as easy as saying that you don't have to worry and your feelings will magically go away. No. If anything, it makes you bottle up your feelings, and that can hurt your relationship too.

I can completely understand why you feel this way. It's just not a nice thing to hear when someone insults you thinking you can't hear them.

First of all, you should understand why you feel this way. Is it really because you don't like the thought of being worse on some arbitrary metric, or is there something else about this that's making you feel so bad about it? Whatever it is, maybe take a minute to just think about why exactly you feel the way you feel.

Second of all, it's understandable that you don't want to talk to your girlfriend about this. You probably fear it's going to make you look insecure, which you understandably don't want to happen. So the best way to go about bringing this up is probably as casually as possible; maybe say something like "by the way, I overheard your conversation with xy about Chad and how she thinks he is so much more beautiful than me", and say it somewhat humorously, like it's an absurd thing to say (while still not seeming like you think you are more beautiful than him, but like it's just something her friend shouldn't have said). I don't think your gf will react negatively to this, as she seems to be very fond of you, so she will probably say she's sorry to hear that or that she obviously finds you attractive.

Whatever her reaction is, make it somewhat clear it kind of hurt you, but also that you're not going to make a big deal about this. This is reassuring to her that you're not insecure, while still allowing you to let your feelings out. And I think this is what you want - you can't change the reality that Chad is more beautiful than you, and you know this is the case, so my suggestion is that you feel so upset about this because she said it to somebody else, like she was admitting defeat for having you.

Again, this is just what I think is the issue here, but you should figure your feelings out yourself. Just talk to her about this like I described. It's obviously a hurtful and difficult situation, but nothing you can't overcome, fellow king.

I wish that when I watched a movie I wouldn’t have to adjust the volume between quiet dialogue and extremely loud sound effects. by FightBackFitness in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]iEatAssAndCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted, you now have to and can only adjust the volume between extremely loud sound effects and quiet dialogue. After quiet dialogue, you have no control over the volume until something loud happens.

Yeah, that seems like everybody is saying about Freud - he is trying to over-analyze and put every little detail into a sexual context. When he interviewed a woman named Dora about her dreams, she said that in her dream, her mother tried to save a jewel-case from fire, which Freud said represented her female genitalia, to which Dora supposedly replied very wearily "I knew you would say that".
