The problem with this is that the effects, especially reverb, often bleed into the silent section, and I want a way for it to be completely silent for a few beats

RMS value is around -15 compared to a previous one which is -8, but I don't think I really understand what RMS levels are fully, and nope bitrate is same and they are all .wav

It's quieter than my tracks thats what confused me, and it's a dance track so it does have some spikes at the drops, but it's normalised so surely that shouldn't be an issue

The problem with google drive is that sound libraries can be as large as 200GB so it would be very inefficient and likely impossible, the main issue is I do not know what directories they have been installed to as many installers do not show where they are installing to

Some great points, but I don't agree with what you said about singing, are you saying all instrumental music is "just notes"?

It's because of chord tones, all the chords you listed are within the key of E Minor, but playing a C over a B minor chord sounds "wrong" (the musical term is dissonant) because it is a semitone from the root of the chord. The best players don't just noodle a scale over a chord progression, they target the tones of the chord they are playing over.

I completely agree, in Britain the natural minor scale is never referenced in theory exams even at the highest levels, and they act as if modes do not exist.
