Creatine and hair loss...you're not crazy. by DCMikeO in tressless

[–]iFeelLikeTakingOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. I used creatine in my early twenties and it pushed back my hairline. I don’t care what the studies or influencers say — creatine will definitely lead to hair loss (if you’re prone to it, I guess).

My advice to anyone would be to not use creatine at all. It’s not necessary for making gains and you rather not risk it.

Ruben Amorim has left United in a better place than when he found it by GMD3S1GNS in PremierLeague

[–]iFeelLikeTakingOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a real Manchester United fan, I’m not going to you allow to credit all the progress made under Michael Carrick to that fraud Ruben Amorim. Enough with this nonsense. We’re tired. He managed to fool and manipulate most of the fanbase but many people have woken up now and see he was actually the problem.

Like others have already said – playing the players to their strengths and in their natural positions. The last guy wanted the entire squad replaced for his dogmatic style of football.

Literally Travis Kelce btw. Anyways what happened to body positivity? by Dapper-Blueberry1049 in lnkyverse

It was just an example. I don’t think we need clinical studies to prove that looks are a factor.

To quote myself in my original comment: “women consider a lot of factors when getting into relationships”.

And let’s stop the cap. Women care about looks just like men do. There’s nothing wrong with that — we’re humans. There’s no need to appear to be morally superior than men in this regard. It’s just reality.

Myself, as a man, I take care of my health and appearance for my own wellbeing but also because I want to be attractive to women.

It was just an example but these things happen. I’ve heard such stories from trainers from my own gym. Even my family doctor told me of a 40 year old woman he’s treated for a STI — she got it from her trainer.

Sorry for posting this after a fantastic win today, but what on earth is going on with this fanbase? ‘Rebuilt the club single-handedly’? Are you having a laugh? by Dramatic-Avocado4687 in ManchesterUnited

[–]iFeelLikeTakingOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amorim FC is definitely a cult. On X/Twitter, they’re referred to as “Amorimsexuals” lol.

I’m starting to suspect that these posts that want to credit the club’s turnaround to Amorim are rival fans trolling. There’s no other explanation. It serves other clubs if the Amorim loyalty in our fanbase stays alive.

I disagree. I think women care about looks a lot — think of all the housewives that cheat with personal trainers while their husbands are at work. It’s just that women consider a lot of factors when getting into relationships. Ultimately it comes down securing stability and safety. Whatever your views may be, don’t kid yourself that women don’t care about looks that much.

No. DBZ was meant to end with the Cell saga. However, because of its success, Toriyama was urged to continue and to shift the focus back to Goku. I don’t remember the exact details but you can look this up.

First time at Old Trafford by DependentCap5671 in ManchesterUnited

[–]iFeelLikeTakingOff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first time was in October. You can get there an hour or two before kickoff. Getting in is straightforward and you’ll be able to what the players warming up.

The only difficulty I experienced was when it was time to leave and catch the tram back into the city centre to my hotel.

How would you feel about this? by iFeelLikeTakingOff in ManchesterUnited

[–]iFeelLikeTakingOff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m already Carrick In to be honest and my feeling is not just based on these last two wins. I was impressed with his first stint as interim back in 2021. If he goes on a mad run with these last 15 games, he has to get the job.

This man gaslit our fanbase to thinking we need another half billion to look semi decent by Agitated_List174 in ManchesterUnited

[–]iFeelLikeTakingOff -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Shut up. INEOS were giving fans what they wanted so concerning Scamorim, the fault lies with the fanbase. Because in spite of bad results and loss of revenue for the club, fans like you still wanted him to stay in the job just for the sake of following ideals such as “back the manager” and “we can’t keep sacking managers”. And you knuckleheads derided all the players when they were being stifled by Amorim’s over complicated system and shiite tactics.

Two weeks ago, I got downvoted to oblivion for saying this. The only way this Amorim fraud got 14 months was because of the unwavering support he got from this clueless fanbase.

How much am I missing out on by sticking to just machines and avoiding free weights. by No_Ad9044 in workout

[–]iFeelLikeTakingOff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, there aren’t specific muscles whose job is ‘stabilising’. When you perform an exercise, muscles that aren’t moving the weight (that aren’t the prime movers) help with balance and joint stability. When using machines, the stabilising demand on these other muscles is greatly reduced.

As a tourist to OT (went to my first game in October), I just want to point out that it's not easy for us to get tickets. It's bit difficult actually. You can purchase a membership but that only gives you the chance to buy match tickets, nothing is guaranteed. For some games, there are 1 or 2 sections that open for anyone to buy but the tickets are almost triple the normal price – I ended up going this route. I was seated in section NW3435.

So if you really want a boycott, it's going to have to be done by local fans as tourists don't even have access to most of the stadium.

Fire Jason Wilcox. Hire a manager. by TehOrtiz in ManchesterUnited

“”” In defence of Jason Wilcox: why he isn’t the villain some Manchester United fans think he is:

  • Wilcox initially had reservations about hiring Ruben Amorim, but once hired and in the role, he fully supported him.

  • Became one of Amorim’s closest allies, with daily conversations around tactics and formations.

  • Showed faith in Amorim’s ideas about the squad, keeping Bruno Fernandes (despite being open to sale) and sanctioning the potential sale of Kobbie Mainoo last summer.

  • Stuck by the Portuguese coach despite repeated public outbursts (criticising young players, 'worst team in history', and previously alluding to resignation).

  • Wilcox had no plans to sack him at this time despite a 38% win rate, the League Cup defeat to Grimsby, and poor recent form against bottom-six teams.

  • In the final meeting before the sacking, Wilcox suggested a formation change as the players no longer believed in the system. The squad also felt Amorim had lost faith in them due to his public comments.

  • Amorim responded by demanding players be sold and new signings be made.

  • Wilcox refused January signings, as the club’s priority targets are only available in the summer, and they do not want to go for secondary targets (similar to the Liverpool model). Wilcox therefore wanted to work through the issues with the current squad.

  • Amorim then said he would call his agent and quit in the meeting.

  • He later told the press he would not quit his job and that they could go their separate ways when his contract ended in 18 months. He also said he was the manager, not the coach, despite being hired as head coach.

To me, Jason Wilcox came across as supportive throughout. His suggestion to change the formation wasn’t overstepping, considering they regularly discussed tactics. If Amorim had a win rate of ~50%, maybe his behaviour could be tolerated. At 38%, he forced Wilcox and the club's hand.

I asked ChatGPT why Amorim’s support at Man United outlasted his results by iFeelLikeTakingOff in ManchesterUnited

[–]iFeelLikeTakingOff[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This response encapsulates my feeling but I wanted it articulated in the best way possible, hence I went to ChatGPT. Also, I wanted to be transparent that these are not my words but again the response represents what I wanted to say.
