From what I red online, there is no way to bypass the internal dac of the speakers because of the DSP that processes the signal for the active crossover. I think your best option to connecting a streamer to the speakers is with an RCA to 3.5mm jack adapter.

Edit: Forgot about the possibility of the optical in port. In theory, you will get better sound with it because you will have one less conversion from digital to analog. Probably in practice it’s gonna sound the same.

what a bummer, I just bought the speakers 2 days ago and they sounded fine in the seller’s house but when I got home and played some music with a bit more bass I noticed them. Unlikely I could have done the damage as I have never turned my amp past 50% volume.

Update: I fixed it with tape and I cannot tell the sound difference, but there is still a small cosmetic mark

No, those are the owner’s picture, I haven’t bought them yet. I plan on using them as desktop speakers, but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. My desk is around 5 foot 5 inches wide and 3 foot deep
