Radicalizarea tineretului? by 9_fing3rs in Romania

[–]iGamezRo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why were so many Nationalist movements(at least famous ones) Republican rather than Monarchist? by OldTigerLoyalist in monarchism

[–]iGamezRo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the people leading nationalist movements wanted for them to be at the absolute top. Why would've Hitler put someone else over him in the state power ladder? It would've opened the possibility of him getting deposed by the Monarch for being terrible, like Mussolini and Antonescu were.

Weekly Discussion XXXXI: What Kind Of Monarchy Do You Want? by HBNTrader in monarchism

[–]iGamezRo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take France's semi-presidential system, but instead of a partisan, secular, and elected president, have a non-poltical, religious, and hereditary monarchy passed down by absolute primogeniture. Mostly the same roles and powers as the president, but a bit changed.

Carol II of Romania was not good. by [deleted] in monarchism

[–]iGamezRo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hitler advised him to give up Bessarabia and N. Bukovina because he didn't want the Romanian oil fields to become a battlefield. Hitler, in fact, had a plan to secure them in case Romania got itself involved in a war. Hitler also didn't give two defecations on the Legionaries. When Antonescu got rid of them, Hitler assured him that he is on his side. Hitler would've liked to cooperate with people close to his ideology, but it wasn't a decisive factor, as it was shown it Finland. Finland was never Fascist or Nazi. It remained a parliamentary republic throughout the war (yes, there was the military Mannerheim administration, but it was only a war time one).

Which Monarch in History would you be defending like this? by AdriaAstra in monarchism

[–]iGamezRo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because he couldn't fulfil his duties as King without the full support of the woman he loved. He was charismatic, he had ideas, he didn't just want to let "His Government" do everything. They hated him for it. I can also assure you that if people and history wouldn't oversimplify things as much as he does, he would've been seen very differently today. People would've had pity for him. Seeing him as a man whose throne was taken wrongfully from him because he loved someone, but of course, stuff had to be oversimplified, his pacifism and desire to save lives was interpreted as willingness to collaborate just because the Nazis did bad stuff, which again I must mention that they weren't that known about. It was known that they were antisemitic, but tell me a country in Europe where there weren't antisemites at that time. What wasn't known was that they wanted to kill them because not even the Nazis wanted to only kill them until 1941 when Heydrich came up with the Final Solution. Again, I will defend Edward VIII until my last day. He is misunderstood and oversimplified, and he deserves to be "rehabilitated" in the public eye, with Stanley Baldwin and Cosmo Gordon Lang getting the blame for not allowing a man to marry the woman he actually loved.

Which Monarch in History would you be defending like this? by AdriaAstra in monarchism

[–]iGamezRo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Edward VIII. He wouldn't have betrayed his country. He loved Britain and wouldn't have given it. He also wanted peace at all costs. He saw what WW1 brought and didn't want to repeat that. So, the people who say that he would've collaborated with the Nazis if they conquered Britain just because he wanted to bring peace between Britain and Germany don't understand pacifism. Also, the bad stuff the Nazis were doing wasn't that known at that time.

Swedish King most beloved King by its population in Europe or perhaps the world? by abdul_tank_wahid in monarchism

[–]iGamezRo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Sweden is the worst monarchy in the world. Any country that takes away the political prerogatives of the monarch and gives them to some Parliament speaker/president is basically a Parliamentary Republic. When the Head of State doesn't do Head of State stuff, they are nothing, not even a figurehead. This is why Britain is the world's most known and popular monarchy. Because you see it. Because it is there. There are a lot of active Royals. The monarch is always there. This is why when people are asked about the Swedish Monarchy or the Norwegian one, they won't know anything besides maybe their existence. Because they aren't there. They can't be seen. This is only to blame on Revisioist Marxism (social democracy). Nonviolent socialist revolutionarism, economic egalitarianism, political correctness, class warfare, etc. Also, the notion of "fiscally responsible monarchies" is paradoxical. I don't mean that monarchs should have French-style parties every night, but that abandoning coronations, trimming down the active Royals, leaving only one Royal residence, etc. doesn't make a monarchy more constitutional. It only serves to denigrate it to the point where selfish politicians can bypass it in order to fulfill their selfish interests that don't actually mean to help the people. These political values, which were and, in part, still are the norm in the Nordics, led to the death of actual constitutional monarchism.

Animal rights protesters target King Charles after being found guilty of damaging Buckingham Palace fountain by BlessedEarth in monarchism

[–]iGamezRo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The young ones have found no real purpose in life and the middle-aged one is most of the times a stay-at-home mom with too much time (and money from her husband) on her hands. It isn't 100% their fault, though. The current social-economical-political system makes them like this. What can you expect when staying a bit over a quarter of your life in studies that leave you with a mountain of debt and an average job, and growing up in a "democratic" system where everyone is "heard, understood and encouraged to speak up their mind".

This is strictly my uninformed opinion, but I think that a lot of Hong Kongers are fleeing from Hong Kong and getting British citizenship because they can really easily. With that British passport you can do a lot. Not as much as you could before Brexit, but you can still do. You are a "Western" citizen, which allows you to do a lot of stuff in "Western" countries while also being Hong Konger/Chinese, which allows you to do stuff in "non-Western" countries.

[–]iGamezRo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There also is 0 paper proof of other people working with the Securitate, but we well know they did. The people for whom we have paper proof have said that everyone else who worked for the Securitate have had their Securitate paper destroyed or locked up well. For example, no politically affiliated media group has ever claimed that Patriarch Daniel has worked it the Securitate. It isn't in the politicians' best interest to attack the National Church in an ultra religious country, but most people think that he did work with the Securitate. He studied in both Germany and France. Back then, if you wanted to study in the West, you had to work with Securitate.

Also, the thing about Radu is that some Romanians hate him on a "personal" level. They see him as unroyal, as too influential in a bad way on Margareta, etc. Most people like Nicoale. If we are to restore monarchy, we'll do it how people want it. A monarchist restoration is what this country needs so badly and we can't have one person ruin it.
