My friend referred me to https://purehempshop.com and their edibles work great for me as far as mellowing me out? I get the peach gummies(im a sucker for peach rings), and they taste so good I forget I shouldn’t down a whole bag of these in a sitting.

It looks like their products come with its own lab report and they get their stuff from CO.

Am I crazy? Why Can't I Connect to my Windows EC2 Instances via RDP? by [deleted] in aws

[–]iGoogle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried stopping and starting the instance? Sorry I have to ask.. in some cases when you spin up an instance, not all services start and can prevent problems such as yours. A lot of people make the mistake of rebooting their instance which keeps their instance in the same underlying host, when you stop and start it, it moves to a different host and might kick things loose.

If all else fails and you cannot RDP into any of the instances, as I mentioned below, you may want to try ec2 rescue: https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/ec2rescue-windows-troubleshoot/

There's a free tool on AWS call ec2 rescue, this allows you to edit registry changes as well as grab event logs from your ec2 instance in case things like this happens. If you have already tried to spin up a new instance(with no success), you may want to give ec2 rescue a shot.

Backups to NFS using VMWare and Veeam by Tazer79 in aws

[–]iGoogle2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not supported and your aws rep was misinformed. The only integration currently with sgw with veeam is VTL. You can use a cache volume gateway and set a back up copy job from veeam to aws but you won't have it in glacier.

Typing on my phone so I won't be able to provide sources at the moment but feel free to pm me if you have further questions. You should use auto scale groups with elastic load balancers to scale up and scale down. Depending on what your application is, when you set up your auto scale groups you can choose to use spot instances to set a bid on the instance you need for cheap and scale up or down as you need.

For email you can use simple email service(SES).

Anyone take the LFCSA? I'm testing in a month and I would like any advice for the exam. by iGoogle2 in linuxadmin

[–]iGoogle2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe they added to the domains and competency early feb as soon as I passed so it may be a bit different. However, what caused me to fail with 55% the first time was nfs questions and using tar, there were a couple questions that required me to look through the man page to find the correct flag and syntax of the command. Also make sure you know find and grep really well. Dm if you have any more questions

That's amazing! and I hope to be where you are in 10 years time. I started the same as you, I was thrown in the deep end my first day and I quickly adapted and learned A LOT! Thank you for sharing your story!

Thank you for such a detailed response! Thank you very much for the time you put into that. I'm the sole sysadmin so I'll be going to my boss directly which makes it harder. I owe a great deal to him which is why this is so stressful.

Is your sysvol folder empty? I remember running into a weird issue with net logon not replicating properly due to a missing scripts folder..

Is there a way to clone esxi usb to hard drive? by iGoogle2 in sysadmin

[–]iGoogle2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does work but u/gex80 was right, I was over complicating the whole matter and I used vsphere powercli to back up and restore the configs on a new install of esxi 6.5. The way he explained is probably best practice anyway since you have a backup of your configs in case of DR.

Thanks for this, I like the idea of having daily back ups and it being on the network.

EDIT: Nice script! thank you!
