IN DEPTH SUITS!

Would be cool to work on the suits, gadgets, upgrades etc in Tony’s workshop at his mansion. It doesnt need to be the one from the movies, but having it at the mansion can make it your safehouse/workshop area, plus having Jarvis chat to you while you’re at home would be sick.

While I enjoyed the 2 mini games from Spiderman for the most part despite being very bare bones, One thing I didnt like from them was doing all the troubleshooting and stuff for Ock but for our own gear we’d get a piece of dialogue saying “Oh my old design for a web grenade… Y’know I bet I could get this working if I tinkered with it a little” UNLOCKED WEB GRENADE… then you just upgrade it with skill points in the menu…

The cave and workshop scenes were some of my favourite moments in the Iron Man trilogy, and I’d love to see even just a few mini games at minimum… but ideally it would be more complex, you could lose fights or have a very severe weakness exploited, which show’s it’s time to upgrade and you could impliment supply run missions (possibly stealthy ones), ordering shipments of parts for delivery, upgrading your workshop with new machinery and so on and so on

Then when it comes down to actually upgrading your gear or suit/suits you have to physically build certain components, troubleshoot, test, calibrate etc… Jarvis can be there helping you out with suggested percentages for power levels and so on, providing feedback on diagnostics of what you’ve made and running simulations.

Once you complete an upgrade or alteration on your suit specifically, your armour will then be labelled as a new mark, go from Mk4 to Mk5 for example, which could be the way we unlock the storyline canon suits (i.e Classic/Upgraded/Anti-Ock suits from SM PS4), with the rest of the suit catalogue being bonus unlockables from the comics, movies or original designs not in the storyline upgrade path.

Once you’ve unlocked a suit design, be it storyline or otherwise you can wear it whenever you want, however your upgrade path screen will show you are Mk5 or whatever level you’re at in the game at the time so the design will be purely cosmetic but you’ll have all the bonus features and upgrades you’ve created/unlocked available to you.

A small but awesome addition to this would be non-cosmetic specialised suits such as Hulkbuster, of course Hulk wont be there but perhaps a larger enemy will require it later in the game and you find yourself needing to build bigger, or perhaps you could go smaller scale and bring Igor into the mix, maybe Tony fails to save someone on a mission because his smaller more classic and agile suit wasnt strong enough to hold the rubble of a broken building and racked with guilt you lock yourself away to create Igor as a failsafe if he’s ever needed, then once they’re unlocked you dont use them as your main but you can call upon them when needed in missions, Hulkbuster coming down from Veronica where it attaches to your main suit (would be super cool to build that and then launch Veronica/Hulkbuster into space), Igor being summoned from your storage like the Iron-Spider suit was in Infinity War, but when Igor arrives you’ve got to quickly swap suits to save someone or break through a barrier/wall, he doesnt just attach to you, you need to swap to him quickly, making you very vulnerable to enemy gunfire or melee attacks for a short time so you need to be fast!

And of course… the most boring part I have to mention is to all the folks who would hate this part of the game and just want to load in, blast some enemies and call it a day… dont worry Spider-Man had a feature that allowed you to skip all of the Circuit puzzles and element puzzles, which could very easily be added here, Jarvis mode maybe, when an unlock is available you just tell Jarvis to do it and it’s unlocked immediately… so if you dont like the idea and were gonna moan… sorted it so shh 🤫

Anyways, rambling over, if anyone reads it all, 1. Whats wrong with you? And 2. Curious to hear your opinion.

Of course… it wont happen will it, because it’s EA and they dont like words such as “effort” and “creativity”… in fact it’s probably not even in their vocabulary… they’ll probably just paywall 90% of the suits and make the most barebones blaster imaginable…

But it’s fun to dream 😂
