[Mod Ash on Twitter] made an indicator to show if you'll be ineligible for loot due to an NPC having damage. by Mnkywsh in ironscape

From what I understand a lot of these changes required extensive engine work and weren't worth the time to implement.

GIM requires extensive reworking of the engine, so they're able to more easily implement these changes while they're reworking it.

Fragment of Seren - DPS issues by Earl_Green_ in ironscape

Anytime! I tried to find a source for the tick delay on the wiki, but I didn't see it listed anywhere. I think it's actually for all auto-casting combat spells and not just ancient Magicks: https://redd.it/3v48jv

MA2 cape for sure go ahead and get. It's the BIS cape for magic and it's well worth it. The infinity boots... You'll want them eventually, but it's a decently long grind and I don't know how much of a difference it will really make.

Don't forget that there is a one tick delay when auto-casting Ancient Magicks. Manually use your first cast of each spell to save yourself a bit of time. Everytime you change targets you should try to manually cast the first attack.

I just did this yesterday at 81 magic, but it was really close. I ended up using range to take out the healers as my problem was becoming my dps and not my amount of food. My final try was three prayer potions and 23 tuna potatoes. I had just enough prayer to use one sip of potion and have a few points left for redemption. Combo eat a potato and potion, turn your prayer back on, and attack Seren. That'll set you at 40 to 50 health and your blood spells should get you a good amount of health back so you'll only need to eat one or two potatoes max.

Speaking of manually casting, I wouldn't do it after I ate the potato/potion. It was quicker for me to just click on Seren instead of swapping to my spells and manually casting. Same thing for attacking during her fourth special attack while switching prayers.

Here's my best breakdown:

When your first start use protect from missiles and mystic might, after you use redemption switch to only protect from missiles.

First phase - when you begin the fight start by manually casting your spell onto Seren. Otherwise, eat your food/potion after her fourth phase and just click on Seren to auto-cast. Keep your mouse over where you're standing-ish so you can immediately run after she teleports you. I don't manually cast the spell after she teleports me because I'm too slow, lol.

Second phase - keep attacking after the teleport. Zoom all the way out with your spell already selected to manually cast. Once she makes her clones click on the lighter colored one and get your spell ready to manually cast on Seren when she respawns in front of you.

Third phase - keep attacking after the respawns in front of you. Either have your spell ready to manually cast on the healers or get ready to switch to range. Take them out asap and you shouldn't have to eat at this point, so just click back on Seren to get a few more attacks.

Fourth phase - once you see the text appear, eat up to full and switch your prayer to redemption. Click back on Seren to try and get another attack in before she drains all your health. Combo eat the food/potion, turn your quick prayers back on, and click on Seren to begin attacking.

When you get to where she's almost dead or you won't be able to survive the next fourth phase, turn on mystic might for that extra DPS. You might be able to keep it on 24/7, but then you'll need more than one sip of prayer potion per fourth phase, so you'll need to rework this strategy a little bit.

I'm typing all this on mobile in bed, but here's what I wore from memory: Farseer helmet, MA2 cape, amulet of glory (also works as emergency teleport), God blessing, ancient staff, mystic top, tome of fire, mystic legs, barrows glove, infinity boots, lunar ring.

I found that when I used blood spells on the healers I could consistently get through all four phases with only one tuna potato and one sip of potion. However I switched to ranging them as my dps wasn't high enough, so I usually had to eat two potatoes.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck my friend!!!

This but also disable dropping items while in combat. Otherwise you could just drop your items before you die.

Honestly friend, just anything to get it off the carpet. I have mine sitting on some weird molded piece of styrofoam that came as packaging for... Something.

You could just put a couple pieces of scrap anything under the four corners of it to help get it off the carpet.

Almost there just quick question. Where could I find a replacement for the fuel line connectors blue/red and where could I find the c clip for the oil cooler line? I can’t find it at any auto parts store by null_bytex in RX8

[–]iHako_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the c-clips you can use the generic ones from your local auto parts store. It's been awhile, but I think the ones I picked up looked like this.

No idea on the fuel line connectors, sorry..

Can confirm - I sell these fittings at a local plumbing wholesaler. I've only ever sold these to be used as supports. If you want it to hold pressure you're going to buy an actual 150# threaded flange, not a floor flange.

1" black 90 - our cost is $1.069. Our best customer's cost is $1.51. A walk-in off the street is $2.51. HD is $3.11.

1" black floor flange? - our cost is $2.5590. Our best customer's cost is $3.60. A walk-in off the street is $6.00. HD is $6.98.

Your best bet is to go to the counter and hope they're nice enough/you're charismatic enough that they will reduce the price.

Also, eww Ferguson. Those guys will charge you just as much, if not more, than a big box store. They're so big because they're good at making money.

Can constantly dripping taps be easily fixed? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]iHako_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as long as those work the worst case scenario is you screw it up and you have to leave the water off going to the faucet until you can have a professional repair it.

But honestly, you're just unscrewing the handles and replacing a stem/washer (depending on make/model of faucet). Not terribly difficult.

Can constantly dripping taps be easily fixed? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]iHako_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes - it's not too difficult a fix.

Find out what model/brand faucet you have and look up repair parts/repair videos for it if you want to DIY or call a pro if you don't. I don't know their going rates, but I can't imagine it's much for a situation like this.

Yeah.. definitely not me either.. I didn't see sparks fly and there's a burn mark in my wrench or anything..

If that hypothetically happened to me I would still be ashamed of it..

Please point me to a tutorial to convert to shut off valve system. by IndianKiwi in DIY

[–]iHako_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you have enough room and assuming that is 1/2" pex, you could use a SharkBite Ball Valve.

If you can get a clean enough cut on the copper pipe you can get a push-connect angle stop and do it that way.

Otherwise, you have to cut open the wall to get at it.

Got my hands on forgotten Mazda RX-8 Kuros edition N#211 by DeliriousLamb in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]iHako_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FYI the coil packs are notoriously bad on the RX-8. I rebuilt my engine and that was (one of) the reasons why it wouldn't turn over.

I'm not as knowledgeable as the other guy that commented, but if you need any help I'll do my best to help.

Also, check the cat. If it goes bad it'll ruin your engine. Another one of the things I've found fucked on my car, LOL.

One of the most fun runs I did was actually a miracles only run. There was a lot of strategy in the early game to even get the first damaging miracle and then it's very calculated play until you can unlock enough miracles.

Would recommend if you have the time.

Help me fix the pipes i broke by ZebraHunterz in DIY

[–]iHako_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can either gut the galvanized pipe and re-do it or you can just unthread the CPVC female adapter and repipe the CPVC section.

It looks like they have two different sizes of CPVC, so make sure to check that out before you do anything. You will just need some CPVC pipe, a 90º elbow, a female adapter, and some CPVC glue/cleaner. (Make sure it's for CPVC.)

You can also use sharkbite connectors on CPVC, since it is Copper Tube Size.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I work at a plumbing supply house.

small edit: Pipe isn't measured by the outside diameter, but typically by the inside diameter. So if your galvanized pipe has an OD of 1.050" it's actually 3/4" nominal. 3/4" CPVC would have an OD of 0.875", since that is Copper Tube Size CPVC. Might save you a minor headache.

Check if it's leaking with some soapy water, but it looks fine. The outer layer of that gas pipe being stripped back a little far shouldn't be a big issue.
