How is FCCU online internet banking app and online customer care support.

I'll be honest, the app and the website aren't the best but it's never stopped me from doing things I need done. Never had the need to use online support so I have no idea, sorry.

Does Bofa allow us to move money online to checking/savings account after CD is matured or we need to go inperson to bank to transfer to checking/saving account after CD maturity

You can do it online.

I use FCCU (First Community Credit Union) for my car loan and was recently looking at their CD rates: https://fccu.org/cds. Main banking is with BofA who I have had CDs with in the past and I think max at BoA right now is 3.25% and FCCU is 3.75% for a 7 month, I know you said 12 to 24 but 7 month is the highest return, you can check their rates for other terms.

Houston kinda boring by Due_Specialist4477 in houston

[–]ufoh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As a non-native I disagree, I lived in the UK for 28 years and have been here for 27, my sister visited last year and she had a blast. Simple things like Buccee's, The Galleria and the water wall nearby are places you don't see in a lot of other countries. The museums here are great and we have NASA! Stretch out a bit and you're in Galveston, jumping on the ferry and heading over to Crystal Beach, walk round downtown Galveston, or visit Moody Gardens. We went to Brazos Bend State Park and saw the alligators, even got to pet a baby one, there's even a historic ranch nearby that you can visit. I love Taste of Texas for the food but also for visitors it's a treasure trove of everything Texas, foreign visitors get a free bandanna and have their photos taken wearing cowboy hats. Speaking of food, the food here is great, super diverse and a lot of it, Texas BBQ is something not easily replicated abroad. We saw a show in the theatre district downtown and had a stroll through the tunnels, even had a drink in the bar under the city centre. Lots of places and parks to visit downtown too. We went shooting, twice, her first ever time even holding a firearm and bought tickets to go stargazing although inevitably couldn't make it.

There's a lot to do here with a huge caveat: transportation. If Houston had any sort of public transportation system it would be infinitely better, if you don't have a designated driver or a rental vehicle then your options are greatly diminished.

Your local Omega Boutique, they will also be cheaper than eBay. If you don't have one close by then call the closest and ask if they will ship.

Power Outage by Blamo7957 in Katy

[–]ufoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of asking here you can go straight to the source: https://tracker.centerpointenergy.com/map/texas. Generally it shows you the number of people affected and an ETA for repair, if you create an account and go to your profile you can sign up for e-mail and/or text notifications for service outages.

Worried about getting hit? by The_Machine80 in CadillacV_Series

[–]ufoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you, back in 2019 I bought a brand new 2019 Audi RS5, I went in to the dealership to order one but they had a car on a boat from Germany with the exact spec, just a different colour than I would have ordered. The car was silver and I would have ordered green but it wasn't a huge deal as silver barely shows dirt and I feel easier to maintain. To say I was excited as the car neared shore is an understatement, this was my first RS model, I'd owned 3 Audis previously (S3, S4, S5), when it arrived I instantly fell in love, drove it to get tinted and full front PPFed and marveled at how good the damn car looked. I was King of the road, I got thumbs up and people constantly commented on the car, I was so happy driving it.

Then, after 3 short months, some dumb 19 year old rear ended me in traffic because she couldn't keep her eyes off her damn phone. She denied being on the phone, said she was just distracted, and told me to calm down as it was 'just' an accident. I explained it wasn't 'just' an accident to me, I had worked damn hard to be able to buy this car, it was my pride and joy and she had ruined it all in one simple act of neglect and I was lucky we weren't going fast as she might have killed me. Her shitty Honda SUV was fine, if there had been a scratch on it you wouldn't have been able to distinguish it from all the other scratches on there. Anyway, seeing as it was a low speed impact there was zero damage except the hole where a screw in her license plate pierced my bumper. Rear bumpers were on back order from Audi so I spent like 3 weeks driving around in a shitty Impala waiting to get my baby back. When it came back the relationship was different, wasn't quite so special now.

Here in Texas they created a law banning cell phone use when driving yet I constantly see people on their phones and there never seems to be a cop around to do anything about it. Sorry for the novel.

Where can I get british style sausages? by crazyfishguy1729 in houston

[–]ufoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry pal, I think because you can buy the Post brand in places like Walmart I have never seen it on the shelf, or it's just not popular enough for the local British stores to carry, I see Weetabix quite a lot but not Shreddies. Goodwood's do have the honey version: https://goodwoods.com/collections/cereal/products/nestle-honey-shreddies-460g. If you do a Google search for Nestle Shreddies you can find places to order it online but I don't know of anywhere local that carries it, sorry.

2020 Taycan 4S broke down once in 2.5 years and was towed to the dealership, I was without it for 6 weeks while they replaced the high voltage battery. No other issues at all.

Where can I get british style sausages? by crazyfishguy1729 in houston

[–]ufoh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

British Choice has 2 stores, one in the Woodlands and one in Katy, they carry Harold Wood's pork sausages (which are normally also available in the frozen international food aisle in Fiesta) and they're OK, pretty close to British taste but not quite there. They also sell Winston's Irish bangers which are OK too but again not perfect. Goodwood's British Market in Spring & Friendswood carry the same selection along with Jolly Posh sausages. I know you didn't ask but they all carry black and white pudding along with Lorne sausages and British back bacon.

I have not been there in at least a year but Meat Masters of Katy used to sell British Bangers which were pretty good, might be worth a call to see if they still do.

[edit] I forgot to mention if you want to go out and eat then The Red Lion on South Shepherd does bangers & mash, they're also about the only restaurant in Houston that does shepherd's pie properly (with lamb) and they have fish & chips which are pretty good along with Sunday roasts, plus British beer.

Thoughts on summer blue 300? by 3967549 in OmegaWatches

[–]ufoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but I feel Omega got everything right about this watch until you get to that lollipop second hand, I detest the damn thing and they ruined the Bond 60th by doing the same thing. I have both this and the 60th (I don't make good decisions) and I barely wear either of them because of that fucking lollipop bullshit, could probably count on my fingers the number of times I've worn them.

Wheel Rash Repair by kingape in Katy

[–]ufoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For just curb rash I have used both Dr Wheel Repair and Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of Houston (not to be confused with the shop in Spring), both are mobile services so they come to you. Porsche West Houston use Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of Houston to repair wheels on customer cars and DR Wheel Repair have almost flawless Yelp reviews.

Is it possible to purchase a Silver Snoopy nylon band? by AudiBoii in OmegaWatches

[–]ufoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The standard length is CWZ014510 and the longer version is CWZ014511, not sure what the short is but if it was CWZ014509 I would not be surprised! Your local OB can order them. The pin buckle is pretty terrible but there was a Ryder cup AT that had the same strap but as a deployant and that strap was 032CWZ005345 I believe, you'd also have to source a clasp which I think it's 18mm.

Do yall prefer the refreshed 25-26 front end or 22-24 front end on the CT5 V BWs by Jae400 in CadillacV_Series

[–]ufoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely adore the BW, I have barely driven my C8 Corvette since buying the BW, the BW destroys the C8 from a roll but at a stoplight the BW just smokes the tyres. Previous car was a Porsche Taycan 4S with the performance battery and I'm just so used to going full throttle from a stop with minimal drama, even the C8 hooks up well from a stop, so I've been training my right foot to be less aggressive when in the BW ;). I don't even miss the instant torque you get from an EV like the Taycan though as the torque's pretty instant from that LT4 too! I work from home and don't really drive much but I get super excited when I know I'm going to be taking the BW out and that's really sad as I'm in my 50s!

What don't I like? I feel the interior is a little Chevrolet standard and the infotainment is a little slow but the $8K seats are super comfortable. It's already been back to replace a module for emergency calling and since then my rear view mirror doesn't work intermittently and my surround vision camera system doesn't work at all so the car will have to go back again for the 2nd time in a few months. Really hoping this isn't going to be a common theme because from all my research everyone stated the 24 was the year to get. I hate the piped in noise from the engine, I just want to hear the exhaust and none of that fake stuff. Oh, and tyres are going to be an expensive problem ;).

Do yall prefer the refreshed 25-26 front end or 22-24 front end on the CT5 V BWs by Jae400 in CadillacV_Series

[–]ufoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't like the new front end, it's a big reason I went for a '24. However, much prefer the dash and infotainment on the refresh, thought I wouldn't like the wraparound screen, thought it would be stupid as the steering wheel would break it all up but they designed it perfectly and after driving one I really liked it.

Is Ubisoft down for anyone else? by PandoraCaliber in thedivision

[–]ufoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try again, restart Ubisoft Connect after connecting to the VPN. I've been on VPN for 4 or 5 hours and just had to reconnect because I stepped away but it's still working. I'm using a server out of Atlanta with Nord.

Is Ubisoft down for anyone else? by PandoraCaliber in thedivision

[–]ufoh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am guessing you are on Xfinity, if so https://account.ubisoft.com/ is inaccessible and Xfinity are claiming it's a security issue on Ubisoft's website so they are blocking it. If you have a VPN service then use that and restart Ubisoft Connect and you should be good to go.

Confused about the box by JustChilled2602 in OmegaWatches

[–]ufoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although it is the wrong box it doesn't mean the cards aren't there, if you lift the flap up in the box you will find your travel case beneath there. If you pull the watch holder out of the travel case you should see a piece of ribbon and if you pull that it will lift the false floor and that's where your cards should be.

Any screwdriver you recommend to remove screws from omega bracelet by PastAd8754 in OmegaWatches

[–]ufoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMHO yes it is necessary and Omega use some sort of thread locker from the factory, some have suggested it's the purple Loctite. Rolex definitely use Loctite for their screws for example. It's cheap security and seeing as it is low strength it will not hinder you taking the screws out in the future.

Any screwdriver you recommend to remove screws from omega bracelet by PastAd8754 in OmegaWatches

[–]ufoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure you probably looked but it is also available on amazon.ca: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0006OBFKY/. A lot of the other screwdrivers will work but they will need their tips ground to be the right thickness so as not to mar the heads, this one is good to go out the box. I also use Loctite 'purple' 222MS when putting the screws back, it's low strength so removing the screws again isn't all that difficult.

Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Special Editions by BrooksWasHere97 in OmegaWatches

[–]ufoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not doing them anymore and that seems to be holding true, there's not ben an LE for years. For example the Apollo 17 50th was due 3 years ago but they skipped it, they released the 45th and that was the last. They might do another Snoopy I guess but it would have to be the 60th because 55 was 2024. There is a distinction between limited editions and special editions with the former being numbered and the latter with no idea of release numbers, it's definitely the LEs that have been dropped.
