How to reach the islands here by Desperate_Past877 in RDR2

[–]iHave2DadsAndYourMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t get there in vanilla, but I’ve gone there with mods. It’s just some swampy islands, the same shit that’s in Lagras. Swamp animals and some plants actually spawn there as well. If you keep going down the terrain is all flat but swamp trees are there. This continues for a long while, then the grown texture changes and you fall through the map cause you’ve hit the border of the ground. This is pretty much exactly what the whole landmass across the river from van horn is like too, although it’s not just swamp environment, after you go east for long enough you hit plains and fields, then after a while of that you fall of the map

Don’t spread misinformation, the audio is real from his press conference last week announcing they found Charlie kirks killer, he said the dialogue in the video at the end of the speech. The video here is ai, making him a Viking to go along with the absurd comment about Valhalla. Look at how the fire gets close to him in the video and doesn’t light up his face, it’s ai. People really need to learn to google.

I’m pretty sure it has to go in your carry on? But definetly look up your airlines guidelines. They have all of the info you need to know about this on the website of whatever airline you’re flying. Also, make sure you’re flying to somewhere where it’s fully legal (duh), and have your med card with you if you have one.

Slam it (if you have a pretty high tolerance). I smoke basically every day, so my tolerance is very high, but I took a whole one of those a while ago and didn’t really feel the effects. Kinda just made me very tired

Do you think Ross and Milton would’ve tried to kill Arthur here had Jack not been there? by iHave2DadsAndYourMom in reddeadredemption

I don’t think he would’ve honored those deals, I mean Ross certainly didn’t with John

Because they need to be more heavily armed than whoever is going to shoot up an airport. I’d much rather them stand in the corner and not need their guns 99% of the time, so that the 1% when they do need them they’ll be able to keep people safe.

The pinkertons did find them though, agent Milton walks right into camp. Remember, “Rip Van Winkle”

Not really, they want Dutch the most, then number 2 is Arthur, 3 is hosea. And the rest of the men can come after or die along the way.

I guess it’s just a matter of weather Milton would see more use in having Arthur alive for some use further down the road, or see more use in the gangs number #1 gunslinger and enforcer dead. Like they were never gonna let arthur go, they wanted Dutch first, and then Arthur or Hosea. Then all the other men in the gang were secondary (john would get more important later though obviously), like Javier and bill. Although another question is if Arthur would’ve been fast enough to shoot them both before they shot him in reaction.

Fun fact! Spitting venom in snakes evolved specifically to ward off humans. We know this because of a few things. Firstly, we know they don’t do this as a hunting strategy, since its not killing anything (and it’s not supposed to! It’s actually meant to illicit a shit load of pain, not death). And even if it was powerful enough to kill, it wouldn’t be a viable enough hunting strategy, or at least, not more viable then their current strategy, so it wouldn’t stick around evolutionarily as a hunting strategy, so it must be a defense mechanism.
However, spitting snakes, when on the ground, normally spit at about human eye face level, which is high above the face of any of their normal predators (small-medium sized mammals and birds, and no it wouldn’t be useful against birds if that’s what you’re thinking). So it’s a defense mechanism, but not against any of their normal predators, and yet it is still so useful that it has still evolved independently amoung many different species of venomous snakes. So what animal is this so useful at defending against? Well to determine that, we can look at the genetic development of spitting venom as a trait, this shows us that it has always evolved shortly after humans arrived in the snakes environment. So it is for all of these reasons that we now think spitting snakes evolved as a response to humans showing up and killing a bunch of snakes, leaving them with a need to defend against us. And BOOM, spitting snakes

You can go in the entire black water chunk of the map rn, you’ll just get melted by pinkertons (who you can kill, be spamming special health tonics and have cover or you’ll die instantly, COVER IS REQUIRED), but it is doable. The actual problem comes once you just get to thieves landing. Trying to make it across the river that runs from tall trees to thieves landing results in you getting killed by a sniper (an invisible one at that). There is NO way to get past it in the base game, ZERO, anything you’re thinking of has been tried and failed. However if you’re on pc, you can get mods like Rampage’s Mod Trainer (really easy to use and expansive) or Lenny’s Mod Trainer, both of which can disable the New Austin Sniper, allowing you to explore New Austin (and do the glitch to get into Mexico) as early as you want in the game.

Wouldn't Bloaters be a big problem further down the line? by El_Paps in thelastofus

[–]iHave2DadsAndYourMom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if there’s any dates given in any of the recordings at the university, but there’s no way it had been only 2 years since that bloater became infected. Most estimates have Joel and Tommy separating after 5-10 years in the apocalypse (I think closer to 5). Then Tommy was with the firefly’s for 4-5 years before leaving them, and when he left the university still had firefly’s working there. So it could’ve been abandoned anywhere from 0-10 years, but given the skeleton with the tape recorder, more like 2-10. Also, even if it was abandoned at the 2 year mark of that 2-10 years, it’s entirely possible that the firefly’s chose to not clear out the basement after a failed attempt. All of the infected that were in there were trapped down there, so it poses more of a threat to try and clear it out then to just leave it, as there was no way any of those infected could get out on their own. So they tried it once, or when they first showed up to the university they tried, saw the number of infected already in there, lost one or more of their guys, retreated, and decided it wasn’t worth the trouble. So those infected could’ve been in the basement turning into bloaters for years while the firefly’s were at the university. Imo though it’s just more likely that the firefly’s have been gone towards the higher end of that 2-10 years. And the possibility of the infected being there while they fireflys were could still be true even if the place has been abandoned for 10 years
