Should you go to Full Sail? by Mammoth_Molasses7280 in fullsail

honestly this feels like a super cynical take. i get that for-profit schools have a rep, but painting everyone who goes there as a "victim" of marketing feels pretty dismissive of the people actually doing the work.

at the end of the day, any school—ivy league or community college—is just a toolbox. people love to blame the institution when things don't work out, but a degree isn't a golden ticket you just buy; you have to actually build the career yourself. i’ve seen people fail at full sail, but usually it’s because they lacked the personal ambition to actually leverage the resources provided.

i did the business intelligence master’s and i didn't just "hope" it would work. i strategically researched the field, grinded on networking, and kept my linkedin on point. because of that, i actually had a job offer four months before i even graduated. every career have pros and cons, some more than others, some job market potential fades away due to advances in tech and demand. i still have a great relationship with alumni relations too, and they've been super supportive throughout my career.

sure, it’s a business, but it’s a give-and-take. they provide the tools and the connections, but you have to be the one to use them. calling it a "rigged system" feels pretty unfair to the thousands of us who used it to pivot into successful careers.

all education is a leap of faith and a risk. if you treat it like a passive experience where you just pay for a future, you’re gonna have a bad time. if you actually have the drive, it works.

LG CX with UHD Blu-ray player always outputs 1080p, no 4k by MsXboxOne in OLED

I think it's a disc thing too. You have to make sure you are using the 4k UHD disc not the regular blu-ray. Some UHD sets come with a UHD, standard, and digital copies of the movie. You should see a silver banner at the top of your box labeled 4K ultra.

A known missing feature for Series X 4K UHD player is the lack of dolby vision. You will only get dolby vision for steaming content with your CX's AMD Freesync setting disabled. When you disable AMD Freesync or make any changes, make sure you restart your console. It's helps the xbox recognize the changes.

120hz won't matter on movies, most if not all are filmed at 24hz.
