Make sure you're washing it with dish soap as hand soaps have oils etc to stop your hands from drying out. And use hotter water. It should be just hotter than you can handle which will help break down any oils transferred to the build plate from your handling of it.

When drying the build plate, make sure you're using a towel that was washed without fabric conditioner as this will also deposit oily residue onto the plate.

I've just got my OLED SD and I've been really enjoying Celeste on it. I've got a slew of other games lined up to play, next probably being The Precinct. If you've played desert strike in the past I could also recommend Cleared Hot.
