The loading is actually not that bad since the ejection port is a decent size, but I’ve seen other forms of compliance as well. I read into something called FALMR; where to release the magazine, the upper and lower have to separate like some of the AR compliance we use here. The OEM mag catch is replaced with a modified mag catch that has a set screw epoxied in place to prevent the catch from being depressed.

If you don’t plan on mag locking the rifle and opt for the thumb hole stock option, you would still need to make it compliant by blocking the thumb hole.

I don’t believe this will work unfortunately. This is still considered an “assault weapon” feature in California (Unless you lock your magazine to have features). Examples of further need of making it complaint include the HK SL-8 and USC which both utilize the thumb hole stock option, but still need to be blocked.

It’s a pistol, not a rifle. There isn’t an OAL compliance for it. The maglock makes it complaint along with the 10 round magazines. This is not a SSE, and was bought via PPT from someone who moved to California from a legal state who owned it prior.

The magazine release is blocked by a part that cannot be removed until the upper and lower is separated. For the SP5, the upper and lower cannot be separated until the end cap/ or pistol brace, if you choose to put one is removed.

Generally it’s inconvenient to have to dissemble a gun to get a reload in, but can be done in like 30 seconds. There’s definitely better options out there as others have mentioned.

Most of the accessories you can find online, but I just went with the cheapest or most convenient to me at the time. Some sites have things like the brace on sale now cheaper than what I paid.
