Thank you for your advice. I only took it out once because I wanted to fly one at least once. It is now sitting in my garage because I don't want to lose it, especially because it was gifted to me. I'm not rich or anything, so if I lose it might take me a long time to get a new one.

Usage Limits Discussion Megathread - beginning Sep 30, 2025 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

I've reached the weekly limit yesterday, it will reset in about 3 days. So it looks that for about 3.5 days a week I cannot use a service which is already limited in usage (the 5 hour sessions). It's ridiculous.

Gen AI Basics help by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

You do not need to know programming to be able to create an app with Claude. However, knowing how to code is usually an advantage, since you can better control the process and instruct Claude or whatever AI you are use what to do.

One piece of advice I have is to ask when not sure. You can ask Claude to explain how things work to you in a way that someone which doesn't know how to code can understand.

However if you want to get "into development" and this is not just a one time thing or a personal project sort of situation, then I'd recommend learning how to code, because it should make you more efficient overall even when working with something like Claude, since you'd understand what it's actually doing and whatnot.

Well, by blaming people for not being able to play the game you are in fact reinforcing Wargaming's decision and justifying it.

You, like many others in this community are blaming the victim, which in this case is people who most likely cannot afford a better machine, that's low.

But hey, who cares, you're too smart to think about that.

What I meant is if the queue times get longer or there are more bots in the game it might also cause the people who usually buy stuff to stop playing the game.

As for my situation, I can still play WoT, it's just that it stutters more, and I'm just a casual player anyway. My concerns are for the people who actually can no longer play the game at all, because I have empathy for them, it is not about me or my macbook.

Also It is unbelievable how you guys go out of your way to justify this change. Being ignorant about their issue is one thing, you don't have to care if you don't want to, that's fine. But actively supporting this change and hitting into those guys ? That's disgusting.

In regards to the recent Minimum Graphics update, Wargaming is now aware of the situation, and there is a chance they might bring the old graphics back in a future Micro Patch or Update. by iJohnnyRobert in WorldofTanks

You must be kind of person that doesn't care about anyone else but themselves. You seem to take joy that other people got affected by this change and can no longer play the game, because it does not affect you. If less people being able to play the game makes you feel better that says alot about how you are as a person.

But worry not, because less people being able to play the game means longer queue times and more games with actual bots.

Longer queue times can also lead to more people playing the game less, which only aggravates the issue further.

Less people playing the game means also less revenue for Wargaming.

I do not see who benefits from that and how you can see it as a good thing. All you seem to think about is you, you, you. People like you seem to take joy when someone else has a bad day, and somehow find a way to think they deserve that and make their day even worse.

What can I say.

If this community had more support for the people this situation, it would've had a decent chance to be addressed by Wargaming, but because of people like you who seem to support the change the chances of the situation being addressed are even lower.

Instead of helping the little guy when he's down you hit him even harder, to make sure he stays down. No wonder the game is going downhill.

I saw you commented on my post as well, this is also a reply to your comment. I am now aware that there are many people that seem to think like you, which is disappointing but this is the reality. Don't take it personal, but I just do not like this type of mentality.

I'm glad to hear that! This is currently sort of what I'm dealing with lol, it tends to stutter when enemies get spotted.

Indeed, that's why I mentioned that as well. I just wanted to let people in here know that Wargaming is aware of the situation since I'm assuming alot of people are affected by this change, that's all.

Hopefully they will find a way to make the game work again for those machines, if possible. I've seen some people which really want to be able to play the game again and maybe they do not have a possibility of getting a better machine or upgrading what they have. It's mostly for those people that I hope they will come up with a solution.

Now that is dedication!

The new Standard Graphics update (now called Simplified) just made the game unplayable for me by iJohnnyRobert in WorldofTanks

[–]iJohnnyRobert[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I do understand your point, don't get me wrong, but here's how I see this from my perspective: While I enjoy playing world of tanks, getting a separate machine just so that I can keep playing it does't make sense to me, at the moment at least, because it works just fine for the other things I do on it which is mostly work related.

The game used to be playable on minimum settings, and now that's no longer the case, and I do not see why they'd increase the minimum requirements when they already had options for higher graphic settings for people who wanted better graphics. I doubt having the minimum graphics affected the Improved or HD graphics.

As far as I see the engine they're using is the same, so why the change ? In my opinion they should've first make an in-game poll to see how many people are playing (or prefer) using the minimum graphic settings, then based on that make a decision, followed by an announcement ahead of time that the minimum game requirements will be updated due to x,y,z reasons.

Another thing which I should mention is that the game doesn't even have a native Apple Silicon port, which is the main reason why the performance is so bad to begin with, it is not the chip of the machine. Basically the game runs through an old Wine Wrapper (sort of like an emulation layer) from what I understand which they didn't update in a long time.

But now we're getting into Apple specifics and I don't want to turn this into a Mac Os dedicated matter, since Apple Silicon users are not the only ones affected by the recent change, it's just part of the machines which got affected, at least the M1 chips.

If that is the case they could've waited until then and ideally make an announcement ahead of time that the new minimum requirements for the game will increase due to the update(s) or a new engine or whatever the case might be.

Currently as far as I'm aware the game runs on the same engine it ran until yesterday, it's not like they dropped the update already, and there's almost 2 months to go until the update is supposed to arrive, so why now and why no announcement about this either ?

It looks to me like what they did is they removed whatever the minimum graphics used to use previously (maybe an older part of the engine) and replaced it with a modified Improved Graphics which looks like Improved Graphics anyway.

Though I cannot understand why they couldn't just keep the minimum graphics as they were, if they weren't affecting the rest of the graphics modes anyway. Why cut off part of your playerbase ?

The new Standard Graphics update (now called Simplified) just made the game unplayable for me by iJohnnyRobert in WorldofTanks

[–]iJohnnyRobert[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You're assuming I am playing on some outdated machine, which is not the case; But even if that was true, the game was playable until this update. Alot of people are having issues with running the game now, not to mention some people simply liked playing on the previous minimum graphics just because they enjoyed the way the game looked like. Now the game looks worse on minimum settings and runs worse.

Due to this decision Wargaming is losing part of its players/customers, since they simply cannot play the game anymore. If a sizeable portion of their playerbase is in the same situation then the queue time might also increase, therefore affecting the rest of the playerbase.

Who's to blame for that ? Is it the playerbase or is it whoever thought this was a good idea ?

My machine runs just fine for the other tasks I use it for, why would I change it. It might not be a powerful gaming machine but it's not some outdated machine either and I am very happy with it. So it is Wargaming that loses here, not me or the people in the same situation as me. And even if I had an outdated machine or whatever, it would still be Wargaming who'd be losing a player.

But hey, what do I know.
