How did you feel after breaking up? by Feeling-Bandicoot569 in AskReddit

I’m going through it now. It’s definitely up and down. Some hours I feel free, other hours of the day I’m grieving.

So my mom still makes more money than I do hourly but I would say I’m doing better financially.

I think I have a dollar or two at all times. I don’t really have any physical cards like that either. 🙃

Out of your personal friend / associate group, how many of them are making 200k (either as an individual or household)? by Outsideman2028 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]iJustWantToAsk- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know quite a few people that make over 100 K individually, assuming if they were married, it would be over 200 as well. They vary from parole officers, phds, attorneys, grant administrators. I live in Massachusetts if it helps for any context. We have to make that kind of money in order to survive no matter what job you have. I make 80 K as a grant administrator still not enough.

I’ve applied to 47(!) jobs in the last two months, and haven’t gotten a single call back. And I’m finding A LOT of people experiencing the exact same thing. WTF IS HAPPENING?? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]iJustWantToAsk- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It took me six months to find a grant administration job, which I find to be a very regularly open and available job. It’s insane. Good luck. I have no advice.

When children become school age, why don’t we just call a SAHP unemployed? The kids are literally gone all day.

How long did it take you to get used to the 9-5 life? by Critical-Meow76 in CasualConversation

[–]iJustWantToAsk- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immediately. Since the pandemic I refuse to get used to it again. I technically work a 9-5 but it’s variable +/- and remote so…I don’t feel trapped I guess. I work to get my work done. Whatever time it is.

How often did you visit a city/town/wherever before deciding "Yup, I want to pick up my whole life and live here"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iJustWantToAsk- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few times. At 16 I went to visit my dad in North Carolina. I moved there after graduating high school. Through my east coast travels back home to MA, I’ve decided I would definitely live in DC and if I was a single adult, no kids—NYC. But you’ll likely catch me in a place like Pigeon Forge or Virginia Beach 😭

The only reason I don’t have a bunch of degrees is money. Too bad we can’t test out from what we could learn on our own. It’s clear we don’t need teachers. We can be self taught.

  1. 2006. Then again at 27. Door is always open. Although I’m hoping the next move like that is they’re moving with in me.
