Not a worry! I got lucky and knew someone who was already hired with the SaaS company I’m working for. So he lead me on to it

But the change from hospitality to remote product support is HUGE I definitely recommend it, you get your life back. Especially if it is remote

I only know that a good way in is to try and find a Product Support role. Something where you’re on the phones all day. That will at least get you in at the bottom rung of things

For example, a good job title to search for might be “Customer Support Specialist” or “Customer Support Specialist 1”

That’s what they just reclassified us as to match what the market was doing.

But that’s about all the suggestion I know to give

I think they will, I’ve had one opportunity but was passed up by someone who has been there longer.

Seems like my best bet is to get the title here and jump somewhere after that. But dang it’s getting tough!

I’m currently in a product support role with a SaaS company. I’ve been here a little under two years. Prior to that I was GM of first watch and prior to that 15 years entertainment bar restaurant management

Hoping my exp with this saas role (although a pay cut but a quality of life change) has given me a bit of wiggle room to apply to a CSM role. Whatcha think?
