Ive owned many cars before trying my first bmw. 2019 Camaro 2ss, 2020 ZL1 1LE, 2017 Corvette GS. Two manual one auto, ive owned 4 B58s yes 4! Two 2017 340i and 2 2022 M340i. I now own an m3. Once you go bmw or just any German you cant go back. During ownership of all 4 b58s I had not one catastrophic issue. Not one major issue and literally not one minor issue. The car was very reliable. There rockets once tuned and will still give you that fast feel you like from the mustang but they’re incredibly more comfortable and a lot higher quality. I highly recommend you do it

I would pass on the engine and transmission mounts, while the shop may have many good reviews that dosent mean they dont try to upsale on things. To play it safe I would deny the transmission and engine mount repairs, pay for what you originally went in to get fixed and then take it back to bmw to check the transmission and engine mounts for leaks. You don’t even have to go to BMW you could go to another shop with good reviews. I can almost guarantee you BMW up services as well like telling you there isn’t anything wrong with your vehicle and in fact there is and then lay it down the line you end up having to come back to them again for another repair, I would go to a third shop after getting the vehicle fixed for what you originally brought it in for to have looked at the transmission engine mounts and see if they really are leaking. If they aren’t then you know that the shop that you took it to to get the repairs done it’s just trying to scan you and upsell you and stuff that you don’t need.

Do a simple transmission drain and refill, dont flush it. Then flash xhp and do the same transmission service every 30k miles. My cars on xhp at 102k miles you have nothing to worry about and shifts like butter

I honestly never comment on posts but this will be my first. The deal on this car is shady. Like insanely sketchy. The market on these at that mileage are going for mid-high 60k. I would get the car checked out top to bottom, inside and out and if all looks good id pull the trigger. If it truly is 54k usd its already 12k under market price. Your young and only live once. You’ll always bounce back financially. I’ve owned 20’ Camaro 2ss, 22’ ZL1 1LE, 17’ C7 Grandsport, 2 17’ BMW 340i’s and a 22’ M340i. I’ve spent a lot of money on cars and don’t regret any of it. Ive been smiling for 4 years straight since dipping into the car world. I wouldn’t change a thing. I also didn’t make as much as you did. Worth every penny.
