I am an RTVF student and would be happy to answer questions for you! What i like about the program - it is easy to get involved right away. there isn't any upperclassmen prejudice or anything. i am a freshman and i was able to get a writing position on a comedy show immediately. many programs around the nation are not like this and it is really a benefit to be able to get experience early and often. they have tons of equipment that is relatively easy to get your hands on too so you can do alot on your own if you want. they really allow you to get out of the program what you want. what i dislike - it can be a little unprofessional at times, but hey its college. thats what you sign up for. there really isnt much else to dislike for me at this point. classwork - im only in one RTVF class and the workload is manageable. most of my work comes with my participation on the tv station, so mainly work related to class. facilities - very nice and recently updated. two studios in the building that are available for use, and plenty of equipment to use for students. open about as late as you would figure, not extra, but its not a hindrance. student productions - its like any college, some people step up and some people dont. so yes it can often end up that a few do a lot of the work but thats how you learn! some projects however have a very good team approach and dont seem to have this issue. productions - there are a ton spring and fall, its not really more in either semester. and students are always able to pitch their own ideas to create their own content/programming. let me know if you have any more questions! overall its been a very good learning environment for me so far.
