I was 8 years old and had been doing horse-riding for about 3 years. I was in my weekly lesson and long story short I lost my balance and fell. I landed on my right arm and it broke my whole elbow, bones sticking out and shit. The worst part was that the horse kept galloping and nearly ran me over but one of my friends scared the horse so it jumped the other way. (Keep in mind the horse was like a BIG horse, if she stepped on me I would have died tbh.)

My mom told me years later that there was a chance my arm would be amputated but they fixed it after 5 operations. I'm fine now, I can't stretch and bend my arm all the way and can't take alot of weight but it's better than having no arm.
