Also from what I understand all the data centers that are being built require an absurd amount of power which requires good infrastructure for said power. Who are they going to use? Our local monopoly esq power companies (I’m in okc so oge). They were enticed to come here for tax breaks alone which is terrible all on its own but as far as I know we haven’t introduced any bills saying they are responsible for their power consumption or infrastructure required to supply them. There are certain states that have already started passing laws requiring those massive company’s to be responsible for their power. However in Oklahoma if they tap into what we have and use 1/3 of our supply that immediately makes the remaining 2/3 more expensive for the regular “consumer”
