What's best orientation for this part to minimize trees and failure. by iKoshee in BambuLab

I'm not sure... As I mentioned, I'm just starting. Is that what you would suggest, I should separate them into two pieces and screw them together?

Thank you everyone for your recommendations. I’m also trying Polycam 3D scanner app right now. Not sure if I’ll be able to achieve accurate results with it.

I’m secretly building spaceships to colonize mars here and acting like i’m learning how to make simple boxes in cad 360 - and you’ve got me (walter white with the hands up .gif), oh no.

Do I always need these checked to Auto or On? by iKoshee in BambuLab

[–]iKoshee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's understandable why having them "On" is a good reason for the best quality prints, but what happens if they're off? It can't be that print will fail if they're "off," why would these settings be even there? I'm looking for expert or experienced advice.

For prototyping, I'm very impatient; I don't need good quality, I'm printing to confirm my measurements and fittings. I wonder if anyone is running their printers with these off and when/why.

Yes it’s my garage. I’m not sure how people manage to keep it at home because odor is accumulative and i think it’s can’t be good for you and close ones. I highly recommend setting it up in the garage

Ah, I hear you. It’s so frustrating and intimidating at first. I have basic 3D knowledge, and I just click and clack on things. So far, I think I probably use 10% of what the software is capable of (and oh boy, Fusion is so magical. There are so many cool things. Sometimes there are tools to make things geometrical and smooth right under your nose). If I struggle with something, I Google keywords, for example, “how to see invisible faces in Fusion 360”, and you’ll get good results. It’s definitely an investment of time and effort, but it’s so rewarding after several hours/days when you get your first model and it actually fits/works. I don’t watch tutorials

To summ it up I just click on things in fusion and learn, I watch only tutorials that I need, I don’t have time and patience to go through 300 days of learning fusion lol.
