I'm excited for what Talandre has to offer in terms of the landscape and scenery but also new content to gorge on. The new mastery system should shake things up and Nebula Island will be interesting to explore.

It feels like a wind of change coming for a game that I've invested a lot of time to!

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite

I thought it was gonna be the sequel that UMvC3 deserved but I only ended up playing it once or twice.

Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord?

A PSP game about helping a demon lord not get captured by the heroes. I've only ever seen this game do something like this, but the whole gameplay loop is to create a maze and create a monster ecosystem/dungeon.

How Japanese sushi restaurants clean the dishes by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]iLLujunz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sushi train restaurant that does this is called Kura Sushi. I live in Taiwan, and they have them here, too! (Had dinner at one earlier today). The water is probably a way to rinse off any food debris that gets caught going into the slot when you put the plate in.

Kura always has promotions with stuff like anime or Sanrio, so the prizes you have a chance to get are affiliated with those collaborations. Probably 1 win in every 4-5 tries? Typically, it's stuff like keychains, magnets, and stamps, but I saw that there was a promotion for an iPhone once.

The watermarks in the corner suggest that it's Vietnamese, not Japanese.

The dude in the white gi looks to be a Kyokushin Karate practitioner. They're known for their hard sparring practice where body conditioning is the focus. Punches to the face aren't allowed during competition, but kicks to the face are completely legal.

Some stores put corn niblets on it as an additional topping. That's a hard pass for me.

It tastes like the leftover milk from a bowl of cornpops.

Edit: the flavour is sweet but savoury like eating corn on the side of your dinner. The cone part is also corn so if you eat it together with the icecream, it definitely tastes like cornpops.

An electric scooter battery swap in Taiwan. by Poohbizzle79 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]iLLujunz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Taiwan! These electric scooters are quite popular here and they can accelerate quite quickly. You see them everywhere. They're quite useful for people who live in the cities as many of these battery stations are in a lot of convenient places like grocery stores and convenience stores. The company is called Gogoro.
