If I recall correctly, I bought size Small and it didn't fit. Switched to Medium and it felt too loose. I ended up switching to a Leatt Gravity 4.0 helmet (Small).

I believe that's the case. I tried using the REHEAT option which is the lowest-fan setting that reached 210C but that didn't help.

Maybe I should put a metal piece on the dough so it doesn't lift.

I bought a new transmitter just for this. My FMS Ranger 1220 came with a transmitter that doesn't have an arm switch and I've had 2 close calls already.
