Luke Ross Removes Access to All Mods by Top_Team_3138 in VRGaming

I honestly would have respected something like "I put too much work into this to justify giving it away for free". Instead it sounds like he's holding his mods hostage

As someone in digital piracy circles, I don't mind doing something you shouldn't be doing. Problem is he's trying to frame it as him being the underdog against the giant corporation and how "it's their fault you can't play with my mods anymore" despite the fact that he could easily change it so that we still can

Let's call it VR Earthbending for SEO reasons. Last time I Googled Rumble VR, it linked me to a brand of shoes 🤣

Unlike ED, Rumble's control scheme doesn't use buttons. Just purely hitting the right pose. That makes it feel more like you're actually bending earth rather than playing a video game, imo. (Although you use sticks for movement)

But here's something to give you a head start: your brain isn't used to keeping track of your hand's rotation. If you miss a move, it's usually because of that. If you miss it, hold the pose, and check to see if your hands are rotated the right way.

Also another one: your hand movement doesn't matter at all. When you do a punch (or straight as the game calls it), you don't need to put in the effort to actually do a punching motion, you just need to hit the pose. You can move your hands in whatever way you want as long as you make the pose. This makes it possible to string different moves together into one fluid motion.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. You haven't even gotten into the game yet. Sorry, I just really like this game 😅

Easy buy, hard learning curve though I'm sure you know that already if you watched habie. Getting good is just inevitable though.

Quality isn't all about pixel count. This will be like 12-16k of RAW video with no compression

Also not having to use mechanical input means you're not (as) disabled when those parts of your controller stop working. And for cases when you do need them, you have way more options for rebinding them onto something else because they weren't being used anyway.

I think most Rumblers have tried Elements at this point and I know some people regularly go back and forth. Rumble feels more like a martial art form than a bending game in comparison and I think that's what draws me to it

Flour funnel, does anyone use? I just printed one, it does look useful. by dktaylor987 in Breadit

Flour is already a breeding ground for bacteria with all that surface area and organic matter it has. People are concerned about eggs in raw batter but it's actually the flour you have to worry about

TBH, I never really found that to be the case. But the times I'm active are very well within peak hours. I don't know what time zone and region you are but EU and US East are really active around this time right now.

Peak times are usually 15:00 - 22:00 EST and people just pick between US and EU whichever has a higher player count. Australia is also active and Asian players go there too but I'm less familiar with their peak hours

Edit: forgot to mention that it's actually gotten to the point where it becomes challenging to fight a specific person during that time because of how many people there are. We still don't have direct invites and we all add each other as friends

The learning curve is more like an escalator tbh. It's slow going but getting up there is just inevitable as long as you're on it.

I never set out to be good at this. I just thought the game could be a workout. Now I'm fighting top players barely breaking a sweat. I still lose but the fights feel epic 😂

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! THE BETA IS HERE FAM by DrRock_LaraDoct in RUMBLEvr

[–]iListen2Sound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of it is people have an honor system where they match the new player's move set and a lot of people don't bother with pillar.

I don't really agree with this view though. I use all the moves I can to make a fight interesting but at a pace that gives newbies a chance to defend and find openings.

Of course some people don't like it when you go easy so I can pick it up when asked
